Edit on 3/20/2025: My personal information was leaked. I am beyond furious and do NOT recommend coming to this hospital. Absolutely unprofessional in most aspect.

Came in for a knee injury. The ER triage 1 room was filthy. There's a used blanket on the chair, trash all over the floor, vials that's open, the sharps container is open, and an unused needle that's easy for me to grab. As a Healthcare worker from California, I am disgusted being in this place.
Also, they told me that it was a HIPAA violation for them to give me a copy of my xrays.
If patient advocate or a manager re-train the emergency department better, that would be great.
Staff are friendly, but I'm calling you guys out for cleanliness and lack of training.

I’ve been at hospital all day. I leave to go down the street to take dog out! Before I left staff told me how to let bed down and gave me sheets! I followed instructions per door. Get to emergency room and they say ā€œHe’s not allowed visitors.ā€ Two minutes later they let a guy up and didn’t ask his name, but asked mine and then allowed him to go up! We call and speak to one person and they say ā€œYou didn’t get prior permission we didn’t know she was staying although she had sheets.ā€ Call another person ā€œYou can only stay if it’s end of life.ā€
If that’s policy it shouldn’t have this statement on door!
Furthermore the staff site on phone and behind desk. They aren’t very attentive! When you ask for something they pretend they will get it and don’t forcing you to ask again

This is the first time I visited this hospital since it was built a few years ago. I went there to visit a patient. There was no one at the desk to ask what room the patient was in. There was a sign in the desk that said call the operator. I tried that, but the menu was in a loop and never took me to the operator. Luckily a very helpful nurse helped me find the room number. The hospital looked clean and the patients room looked new and clean.

As a hospital, I don’t have anything bad to say, the billing dept. on the other hand is absolutely terrible. They have consistently had ā€œcomputer glitchesā€ that added tens of thousands onto my account from a surgery I had 2 years ago even though all my out of pocket has been paid and insurance has paid the rest. I am completely ignorant to all the medical billing stuff so thank God that my spouse does that for a living at a different hospital and realizes that what they’re billing dept. is trying to do collect on is borderline fraud. I just now received a text from there that my balance went up another thousand dollars even though everything's been ran through my insurance and I haven’t received any service from them in almost a year, weird huh. It’s not even an HSHS ordeal, I have had multiple services done at other HSHS hospitals and not had any issues it is only a Saint Elizabeth’s HSHS billing dept. issue and right off hand know personally about 6-7 people that have also had issues with regular ā€œdiscrepanciesā€ with only this hospital’s billing and coding dept, I figured after a few years they would maybe they would do a overhaul on that department but no such luck, they have and will try to charge you for things that insurance has covered and/or you have already paid for out of pocket. KEEP all confirmations of payment and paperwork from them or they will try and bill you multiple times for a service and when you show proof of the pay off then and only then they will say whoops ā€œmust have been a computer errorā€ good luck

My grandfather was recently placed on hospice care at this facility. They did everything they could to make it as accommodating as possible for my grandmother to stay by his side the entire time. My grandfather received good care there, and both of my grandparents were treated very well by the staff. They went above and beyond going against the insurance company to keep him from being discharged, and sending him home to be cared for exclusively by my grandmother. Who would have struggled to provide him with the same level of comfort in his last days.

Not really the best thing to write a review about. But this was my personal experience.

Wonderful experience with this ER despite them being busy that day. Seen fairly quickly, blood tests run in about an hour, and the nurse who helped us the most, Rayleigh, was wonderful at placing the IV, intelligent, and kind. Also had an incredibly swift CT scan with an amazing team there, as well.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! STOLEN BELONGINGS! took my sister to the e.r. she was on a 24 hour transfer hold (they take ALL your belongings) whenever she went to get transferred by ambulance, the hospital staff was looking for around 30 minutes for belongings they could not find. she still hasn’t received her stuff and calling everyday (sometimes multiple times) isn’t helping any, we’re getting nowhere except transferred to everyone and their ancestors at the hospital. even talking to security isn’t help. they should have footage of where they put her belongings. someone is covering something up. if you guys take such incidents very seriously and are committed to resolving this issue promptly why has it been almost 3 weeks and i haven’t received any type of updates? EVERY SINGLE TIME i call and speak to someone, i have to explain the whole situation over and over again because you guys aren’t communicating.

12/10 on if i could rate it that high. Had carpal tunnel surgery done yesterday. Super fast check in. The usual wait to see a doctor. Surgery only took 15 minutes and then had recovery time. In and out in 4 hours. The 2 front desk check in ladies were great, all the nurses were great. Anastesiologist and the doctor doing the procedure were super professional.
Overall great experience. Top notch!
