Best kept secret of Dupage County! The staff is friendly and their fist time buyer seminars are excellent. The best consumer is an informed consumer and this place get every buyer ready to make the biggest purchase of their lives. The also assist distressed homeowners and provide Budgeting workshops.

I am very discouraged with one of your employees, Dianne Prince. At the end of Sept 2016, I came to see her to figure out what I could do about mortgage assistance. She advised about a Loan modification. We called US Bank and they mailed the paperwork. They also advised I could go online and fill out the application to expedite the process. Dianne insisted we do the paperwork route so I went along with it. She mentioned when you apply online, it goes into cyberspace! I believed her.

On Oct 5, I filled all all the paperwork out and dropped it off on Oct 6. I also filled a 3rd Party Admin form so she could handle everything. She said she was off on Friday and would work Sat, Oct 8, fill out the paperwork, and fax everything to the number given to US Bank. Time went by and I NEVER heard back from the bank nor Dianne. I put my faith in trust in this employee.

On Nov 3, I called Dianne, but she never called me back. Instead, she secretly faxed my paperwork on 11/3 at 13:00. A return call would have been the professional way to go, instead, she faxed it almost a month later. I called your office on Fri, Nov 4 and finally got through to her after complaining to the lady that answered the phone.

I had also talked with my bank on Friday morning and they said they had NO record of a fax for my paperwork. It does take 24 - 48 hours to get logged after a fax. I get that, but if it was faxed back on Oct 8, I would have had everything in motion. INSTEAD, Dianne waited and forgot about me, said she had a huge caseload, and couldn't admit her incompetancy, nor could she apologize that she made a huge mistake. The bank even explained it would have been much better to apply online.

I did come to the office to get my paperwork, explained her behavior was unacceptable, could not believe they needed to take copies of all my paperwork and became very agitated. What right do you people have to keep copies of my paperwork? Is it perhaps to report that you helped me? When in reality, no REAL help was given . There is so much identity theft and now my information is sitting in your office. She has NO 3rd Party rights anymore. What if it was your mortgage and you put your faith and trust in someone, and then they forget about you and prolong the process by almost a month? What if you were scrambling every month to try to figure out how to pay that mortgage? So a month delay is unacceptable.

You need not apologize for all the inconvenience and mistrust Dianne has caused. Lesson Learned. I will never recommend DuPage Home Ownership Center to anyone. I will never trust this office again and I am going to file a complaint.
