This was by far my worst experience in a Holiday Inn Express. The comforter was dirty. I called down and asked for a replacement. She brought it up and left. When I spread it on my king bed, I found it was a queen sized comforter. No big deal, I used it. The toilet was stained. There were loose tiles in the bathroom, and the up and down channel buttons didn't work on the remote. What should have been the saving grace (breakfast) was nowhere up to the normal Holiday Inn Express standards. Even the cinnamon roll wasn't as good as I'm used to.

We were staying in the area for family event so we wanted larger accommodations. We were able to book a two room suite at this location. The suite was very large and had all we needed for a comfortable stay. The suite had 2 bathroom sinks which was great to spread our toiletries out. The bedroom was also large and the bed was comfortable. The kitchenette had what we needed, a small refrigerator and a microwave. However the microwave was challenging to use, it took a very long time to heat our food.
The room was showing its age.
The staff was great.
I did report one issue to the staff when we checked out,the tile around the toilet was very broken up and we were wondering if the sub floor was failing.
We would recommend this hotel.

Service could have been Great if they had told us they didn't have Pancake batter. My husband prefers Waffle, but this Hotel location & Brand was perfect for our purpose this trip. We ask about pancake batter and personnel came, opened machine, walked away and we waited! Nothing happened! I told my husband to try they biscuits since he can't do cinnamon which i love in their rolls. He said: i think the Biscuits were better than the pancakes! Just it they'd been Open about the pancakes they would have rated higher on Service! They get 3 stars as they compensated us when my husband's ask for it!!

i travel much for work and being a gold member, i always stays at holidays inn wherever i go. this one in Jacksonville is a bit different i think cause due lack of mgmt or leadership.

During Covid you have to stop by the desk and let them know you need the room to be cleaned each day. after covid this requirement is gone in most hotels but here no, it is still there. i have to leave every day early and normally there is nobody at the desk so every day when i am back my room is not made. there is no sign at desk or a way this is communicated to customers when you check in. in the elevator the level 1 button light is not working. one day i noticed the toilet water was running continuously so i let the person at the desk know and she took note. but next day it was not fixed. other day the room had smoking odor and asked to get the room changed, i normally stay here all the time cause there are not many options in this town and i hope something can be done.

Feels the hotel has been neglected with maintenance issues. Broken tiles in the bathroom, ripped curtains, stained and dirty looking carpets, doors that don't lock properly. They also need to improve their cleaning execution. Breakfast can be improved if they had real eggs, and less sugary option for cereal and yogurt. Include ham or cheese. Hard to find something healthy. I'm sure the food options are the lowest cost, but not the heathy ones. I had a banana!

So, I am a diamond elite yada yada yada. Suffice it to say that I stay at IHG hotels a lot despite my coworkers trying to get me to switch to the H brand. Well, properties like this make me want to switch. One of my coworkers that also travels to this area a lot every year told me that on his first and only stay at this hotel his blackout curtains looked like a cat had been using them as a climbing post. Well, so did mine this time but I was on the ground floor while he prefers the top floor. So that means that they either have a phantom cat going around destroying their curtains or that they really do not care about how ghetto the hotel is. I mean, the decor is way out of date (1970's adult film-ish) and dirty. The desk chairs are fixed leg and not on coasters. The refrigerator/coffee area was just everything stacked on top of each other in a corner where you had to move the fixed legged chair every time you wanted to get to it. AND (this one really ticked me off) the heater shuts down if there is no activity in the room so you come back to a cold room as well as wake up to one. Do not stay here.

The door to the room was wide open when I arrived. Staff unwilling to come up with me to verify and see conditions of room. Food on floor. Had not been vacuumed. Hair in sink and tub. Drink rings on furniture. No toilet paper or soap.

Booked 11 rooms for our baseball team. We called to confirm multiple times over several weeks and they cancelled our rooms the day of our trip even with confirmation numbers. The last time we stayed at this particular hotel was a few years ago. You have to book hotels that are affiliated with Future Champions baseball complex. Avoid Future Champions baseball, Holiday Inn Express, and anything Jacksonville, IL related.
