We love the campground, I gave it 3 stars because we were there a week and our grass was never cut. It was more than knee high. Our neighbor has been at the park for 11 days and they said it hadn’t been cut since they arrived. Also someone should DAILY ride around to cut the grass on empty sites with a weed eater around power boxes.

Warning to ALL veterans. Last year, the parks switched to a pass that does not expire. After trading in my vehicle, I didn't give a thought to keeping the old destroyed sticker after removing it. After all, I've always had to go to the office every year for a new one. So if you try to get a new sticker, you will be told that without the old sticker, there is nothing they can do!!!!! Get that? One oversight and you will NEVER get another sticker. Very disappointed in this office.

Beautiful area of Big Branch Wilderness. Boardwalk and an old road for walking/hiking experience. Quiet enough to hear the trees rustling in the wind. Good place for contemplation and solace. Very few people.....one of Slidell's hidden gems!

So full of life. This park has everything. Restaurant. Biking, swings, nature and you can rent a beautiful cabin in woods for a vacation as well.

My friend and I decided to go to the Gulf State Park in order to ride our bicycles in a safe environment. The park has miles and miles of bicycle paths, and the area is not hilly. We enjoyed our ride, and we are considering going back to ride again when we can also stay at one of the cabins.

Went there to get a veterans parking pass. Wait was minimal and the young lady that helped me was very nice. She was very polite in explaining to me that the town of Gulf Shores had opted out of letting veterans park at their beach parking for free any longer and gave me a list of parking areas in the wonderful town of Orange Beach and the Gulf State Park areas.
