I have taken firearms classes in four states for various security jobs now and HBT has the most solid firearms class I have taken to date. Class size was small and lots of one on one time, class is well paced it was not slow and boring or done so fast that I could not keep up and understand what was happening, lots of time for questions. Instructors Goldie & William make sure you understand what you are learning and the reason why it is important. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to learn more about firearms and training. Looking forward to also taking the CCW and body language classes. You all are the best option for anyone in southern Illinois.

What a great group of people! I just completed an armed course through these guys it was one of the best courses I have taken. The instructor Chris was a great guy, very knowledgeable and taught the class so we all stayed engaged. I recently attended a class at HBT and from the moment I walked in the door I felt welcome. The instructors made sure everyone was comfortable with what we had gone over before moving on to the next subject. They answered all questions asked by students in a professional manner, and made things easy to understand. Absolute pleasure taking the class. I took the unarmed portion of the program. Instructors cover a wide variety of topics and scenarios that help prepare you for the job. Have knowledge of the law and gives insight on how exactly each charge is determined.
Also gives tips on what to watch for on the job such as body language and body motions to look for. Also report writing preparation for situational awareness. From personal situations they have experienced, to simulates incidents to deal with, it was a good learning experience. Recommended for anyone looking to get into security.

They say first impressions are everything, they are right.

My first impression of HBT Security Group Inc was great. When I called HBT Security Group Inc to get information about classes and pricing, Denise answered the phone and was so professional and polite and she took the time to answer all my questions. She had all the answers that I needed and if she did not have an answer, she definitely made sure to find what I needed and got back to me right away.
The facility was super clean and organized before the students arrived. The class sizes are perfect for those who do not like an overwhelming number of people in one class, like college. The instructor, Chris, who is deeply knowledgeable about the material, made sure the class members understood the material. Chris also made the class fun, so it was not stressful, no death by PowerPoint either. The range time was great too. I had a great time at the range because it was a great learning experience and Chris made it comfortable and easy to learn what we were supposed to do.
If you want to take a class like this where you are going to have an instructor who knows the material, who is going to take the time with you to help you understand and has the experience and background for this type of stuff, go to HBT Security Group Inc and see Chris. I’m glad I drove 2 hours from home to take my classes at HBT Security Group Inc because the classes were definitely worth it, and I will do it again when it comes time to recertify. I do recommend HBT Security Group Inc.

Awesome service! If you are looking to get your CCL, you should definitely check out HBT. The instructor, Chris Harrington, is official. Down to earth and full of knowledge. He does an awesome job with combining his field knowledge and the knowledge of the law. They offer other classes as well, just check out their website and contact them. Overall, I had an awesome experience.
