Hansen House preschool has been amazing for my daughter. If you have shy kids it's perfect too. They work on social-emotional behavior and really helped my daughter come out of her shell even with the language barrier, as she only spoke Spanish. In just a few months she's already singing songs in English and has made friends. I really could go on and on about how great, happy, and satisfied I am with this school. I love that they have smaller groups it really helps for more one on one. Totally worth every penny.

Don't hesitate to take your kid(s) here for Pre-K! Rachel and Mitch do an amazing job! For the brief time I've had my daughter enrolled, I've noticed significant positive impacts regarding social / emotional behaviors. The small class sizes truly facilitate learning and play!

What a blessing this little school is! We made the switch mid-year to Hansen House and it was the best decision we made for our son. Rachel and Mitch genuinely care for their students. They give so much of themselves to the students, the experience and to the growth of the children in their care. Creative curriculums, opportunities for exploration and never-ending encouragement - this little school is EVERYTHING that preschool should be. Our son gained more than just the skills he needed for Kindergarten, he gained confidence in himself! I contribute that growth directly to the time he spent enrolled at Hansen House.

Hansen House preschool has been the biggest blessing in my toddler’s life! In months we went from only singing ABCs to full letter recognition and spelling her name! They have weekly topics complete with themed crafts and science projects. It’s a safe and wonderful learning environment too. Reasonably priced and fair rules. Definitely recommend to white mountain parents!

Our whole family loves Ms Rachel and everyone with Hansen House. My son has just learned and grown so much during his time there, and she is so attentive to who he is as a person, even though he’s introverted. Play-based learning with a social-emotional focus. A dream come true as a parent, honestly. My son is excited to go to school, and doesn’t want to leave. ?

Ms. Rachel is amazing, my son couldn't wait to go to school and be with her and the other kids. She is very educated and knowledgeable of the little kids and never worried about dropping my little guy off. Such a fun environment with lots of fun set ups for the kids to play. Pictures are sent through the day of how your kid is doing and what they are working on. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Wish Ms.Rachel could be my kids teacher forever.

Phenomenal preschool experience. As an educator myself, I am very pleased with the quality education in a creative learning environment that my son receives. Strong focus on social/emotional processing and learning through play, song, experiments, and exploration are so important for young learners. Rachael Hansen is not only experienced in educating preschoolers, but she pours her heart and soul into her students and their families. Hansen House is top quality!

Our middle Son has attended two different preschools before starting at Hansen House. While the others were good, Hansen House has been the biggest blessing we could hope for, for him. Within 2 weeks of starting he was spelling colors, recognizing letters and what words began with that letter, writing numbers, and coming home and telling us about what he learned. He had never shared what he learned at other schools and couldn’t remember when asked, what he had done that day. Not only did we get frequent, sometimes daily, updates about his academics but also about his social emotional growth. We were terrified of how he would respond to kindergarten and now we can’t wait to see how he will do based on how much he has blossomed over the last 5 months.

The curriculum is varied which helps kids not to get bored and the teachers will actually base their curriculum on the interests of the children they have at the time which is a lot of work for the teachers but you can see how it pays off in the kids and how excited they are to go to school. We also love how each child’s needs are addressed throughout the day while also engaging in group play and learning.

Our favorite part of the school is how focused on social and emotional well being the teachers are. The kids are learning to be good friends and students which will help with the transition to elementary school and beyond. The teachers communicate well and make sure that students have a team between home and school to help them succeed.

The teachers also are very good at keeping parents up to date on icy conditions around the school, calling school days when absolutely necessary, and letting us know of anything like roofers so we know what to expect when dropping off our kids. When their Landlord didn’t do an adequate enough job with the snow, they even walked my son down to me when I couldn’t make it into the parking lot and then assured us they would take care of the issue personally if the landlord didn’t fix it the next day. The price is amazing for the education they provide and all their policies are fair and written out in their handbook so it’s easy to see what is expected of families and of the school.

This school is so full of love and attention to detail and we have cried happy tears at times just watching and realizing just how powerful this school is in the heart of our little one. We can’t wait for our youngest to start in the fall so we can watch him blossom as well.
