The learning environment created at Hallett Academy is unmatched. Teachers are supportive of my student in every way, and the growth I have seen is incredible. There is a culture of positivity, respect, and patience. What makes Hallett unique is the community circle every Friday. The whole school gets together for a celebration of learning and recognition. Principal Jefferson is arguably the best and most effective principal throughout the district. At the same time, the staff and teacher are experienced in what they do. This shows in the many ways my child and others have grown being at the school, notably social-emotionally and academically. Simply put, this school is amazing!

When looking for a school for our children we looked for a school that our children would be seen, hear and loved. Hallett Academy is an incredible school and over the course of the past 4 years our family has been able to witness transformational leadership amongst administration and teachers. The teachers truly care about the children and work hard to ensure each child meets their educational goals this is fostered through accountability, character development and partnerships with families. While some base their decision solely on test scores, I strongly encourage families to consider more than that when selecting a school. We did with Hallett and our children are performing at grade level and thriving educationally and social emotionally.

Hallett Academy is thee best elementary school in DPS!!!!! The new principal Mrs. Jefferson goes above and beyond to make sure every single family is happy to be here. She has been the principal going on 3 years, and she has turned this school AROUND!!! This school is bright and colorful and makes you feel like your a part of a great community. The teachers are all amazing, the kids are very advanced, their classrooms are warm and inviting, and everyone who works at Hallett is super friendly and helpful. My daughter continuated last year from Hallett , and my son is in the 2nd grade at Hallett. If you have children ECE-5th grade........Go check out Hallett......You WILL NOT be disappointed!!!

Hallett Academy is currently undergoing a major overhaul that is sure to impress both students and families alike. Under new leadership, in party with a dedicated and vivacious educators, the building has been transformed into a colorful, joyous environment promoting the learning of both academic and socio-emotional skills. If you haven't heard about Hallett yet, prepare to have your eardrums ringing! Go Hallett Hawks!

My experience with Hallett is with the ECE program. The teachers are very nice and welcoming. They always made my daughter excited to go to school. There wasn’t a formal half day program for ECE-3. I think my daughter was the only one doing half days, so she came every morning and left after two hours at lunch time. She would miss out on “specials” that happened after lunch time. The teachers were very accommodating and allowed my daughter to stay for the specials once a week.

My biggest disappointment with Hallett was the lack in communication. My daughter’s teacher left to teach at another school during winter break and we had no idea until her new teacher sent us an email right before the break was over. My daughter was very sad she didn’t get to say goodbye to her (first) teacher. The new teacher also announced that ECE3 students could only come for 2 out of 5 days each week- no explanation (just said something about covid guidelines). No mention of any type of tuition reimbursement. I had to unenroll my daughter because these circumstances didn’t make sense for our family. Her teachers were sad to see my daughter go, but didn’t state the school was trying to find another teacher so they could go back to 5 days a week. My daughter misses going to school and I have to tell her that we will try again next year.
