Golden Oak was the most perfect Daycare for our daughter! At almost 3 years old, Kristin was the first person to take care of her other than our family and she is the most attentive and caring person. Our daughter thrived SO much being here and loved the outdoor play aspects and the friends she made. We are forever grateful for the experiences we’ve had thanks to Kristin and highly recommend Golden Oak!

Golden Oak Daycare has been a rich and rewarding experience for my granddaughter for over 1 year. First and foremost is the truly wondrous nature of Kristen who is the owner and director. Kristen has a very natural ability to fully understand and know each individual child. I have wondered what type of magic she may have to be able to sense the needs of each little person. My granddaughter blossomed while attending Golden Oak and developed coping skills during a tumultuous time in her little life. The children became one with nature and fears of rain, mud or any other less than ideal weather were dispelled. I highly recommend Kristen and Golden Oak Daycare for your little one. She/he will be loved, understood and develop life skills to meet the world head on.

Golden Oak is a wonderful daycare, engaging the child’s natural sense of wonder and play to help them explore and learn. Kristin creates a peaceful yet engaging environment where our daughter looks forward to a lovely balance between adventure and security. We love Kristin’s storytelling, crafts, garden, all sorts of multi-sensory outdoor play, and the community created by Golden Oak families. The care here is closely tied to the rhythms of nature, which is grounding and enlivening for the children. Kristin also pays close attention to the temperament of the individual child and is a wonderful teammate in nurturing them in the way that best meets them.

We love Golden Oak! My daughter had a truly magical time here. Kristin gives warm attention to each child, while allowing them to truly be children. We love the Golden Oak Daycare. Our 2 & 1/2 year old little girl attends two days a week. She loves the outside play and the friends that she has made. Kristin is wonderful with children.You never have to worry because she takes great care of the little ones. Love it!

What a lovely place! My daughter, now 13 years old, was lucky enough to attend a Waldorf-inspired pre-school in the Bay Area and I couldn't be more pleased that my 2-year old niece is following suit. I am so happy that my sister found this beautiful, nature inspired oasis for her own daughter in Hidden Valley Lake.

I was able to visit a few weeks ago and observed the children having a "feast" with their teacher - each piece of hand-felted food was lovingly presented to the teacher and they sat down to talk and pretend eat. My niece then was excited to take me on a tour, and showed me their calm and cozy playhouse, their edible garden, and their beloved bunny rabbit, Thunder.
