Can't say enough good things about Becca and her team. I have had dogs professionally trained before, but not in Colorado so we were happy to find a team so close to home. The results in our dog speak for themselves, but the time that Becca spent with us afterwards was incredibly helpful. She took as much time as we needed to practice and ask questions. We would definitely recommend Golden Hearts and use them again if given the chance!

Becca & her team at Golden Heart Canine are absolutely incredible!!! I know parting with your dog for even a day can be hard, but if you’re looking for an incredible, knowledgeable, and trustworthy trainer (with awesome property for your pup to explore) and an amazing outcome for your dog (and your relationship with your dog), look no further than Golden Heart Canine!

Coming out of the R+ only world of dog training, I was a little nervous about introducing tools that weren’t just treats and solely R+ to my little red heeler’s training. From the outset, Becca helped me feel more comfortable and explained the benefits of incorporating training tools into a solid foundation for our dog. I’m SO happy we trusted in her and the 4-week process as our dog, who we thought was already pretty well trained (we wanted to brush up on leash manners, off-leash recall, and cooperative care/handling), came out a super star with more regulation and self-control and a healthier respect for the humans in her life than I had ever seen with her, but yet all of her bubbly happy, and goofy personality is still there!!! Becca’s updates in the form of videos and photos were always so great as we got to watch our pup’s training progress over time.

We are so excited for this newfound relationship with our dog and can’t wait to take her on all the adventures with these solidified skills (and continue to grow them and solidify them long term)!! Now, the activation energy to take our pup running, hiking, and skiing is non-existent, as we know we can trust her to come when called and heel thanks to all the amazing work of Becca & team!! 🙂

Thank you Golden Heart Canine!

Golden Heart Canine is the absolute best, paws down, when it comes to dog training. We will only use them and have only used them since we got our first pup two years ago. Both our border doodle and mini golden doodle have gone through the puppy kindergarten with amazing results! And our older dog, the bordoodle has been back twice for additional training (if you travel and have to board, why not add more skills?!) - adding the e-collar for reliable recalls and off leash responsiveness. Becca and her team have taken our girls and made them joys as pets. We get compliments of how well behaved our high energy and smart/stubborn dogs are. Our bordoodle can be a tricky one because she’s so smart, but Becca has helped us stay one step ahead of her and we’re so grateful. It’s a huge relief to have someone we trust completely with our dogs. We drive over 2 hours to board and train here without thinking about it - she’s that good!

We're so happy we decided to do the board & train program with Golden Heart Canine for our pup, Goose. He is a high-energy, GSP mix who we adopted from a shelter a few months prior to the board & train program at Golden Heart. He had zero training when we adopted him - didn't even know how to sit on command! Even after a group class we did locally, we were struggling with recall, counter-surfing, and lots of anxiety.

We chose Golden Heart because it's a quiet, rural location attached to Becca's home. The family-nature and small team made us more comfortable that Goose would get the 1:1 time and attention that we weren't sure would happen in a big city operation.

Post training, I think Goose is 10x happier, and we know how to communicate with him which has seemed to reduce his anxiety. I never thought we'd get him off-leash, but you can see from the photos & videos he's doing great. I never once doubted that he was being cared for by the best team possible - we had Facebook updates multiple times a week. As part of the board & train, the team does a few sessions where they train us to ensure we're being consistent. When we picked him up, we did one of the sessions and the team spent SO MUCH EXTRA TIME with us, answering our 1,001 questions. It was amazing - so helpful to make sure we were comfortable with everything he'd learned. He's even going back for a few weeks while we're traveling to board there!

I really can't say enough good things about Golden Heart Canine.

Training with Golden Heart Canine has been THE best investment and an absolute game-changer! We adopted a 3-year-old male Newfoundland with some challenging behaviors, including dog aggression, recall and general manners. From the outset, Becca set clear, realistic expectations, and the results have been nothing short of extraordinary. After a month of training, our dog's behavior improved dramatically and he now follows our lead effortlessly. We finally feel confident managing him in various situations and enjoying walks without stress. Training with Golden Heart has truly given our dog more freedom and we cannot thank Becca and her team enough for their dedication and expertise! Highly recommended!

It’s been a year since Alaska came home from training at Golden Heart. It allowed a clear channel of communication for her and I to build a healthy and happy relationship where we understand one another. She is at a point where we can now walk without a leash, her recall is great. She can shake, speak, and much more. She no longer fights and even avoids them. Her resource defensiveness has settled immensely. We took our first long road trip this last weekend and did awesome in the car. Here are some photos and thank you for helping us.

I am so grateful for everything Becca and her team did to help my boy Moose during his 30 day stay. I could tell he was happy and loved there from all of the updates and videos they posted online. Becca was so helpful at pickup teaching me what to do when I brought him home demonstrating skills and answering 100 questions. The skills have generalized to home, and he is a completely different dog from when I brought him to Golden Heart. I owe them my life. He’s much more confident, able to go in public, not pulling me down while on leash, has impulse control, recall, and basic obedience/manners. Thank y’all so much! 💜100/10 recommend

Bob, our mixed herding puppy came to us as a rescue that was found abandoned and wandering the streets with his brother. From the beginning he was shy, but always friendly with my husband and me, and our 13-year-old mix dog. However, he feared everything else, and I mean everything! He was especially frightened of strangers, and with his keen eyesight would see people two blocks away and immediately react with barking and huffing and puffing. Bicycles and runners were especially threatening because they were relatively silent and moved fast. We had no idea how to work with Bob’s level of fear.

So, we enrolled him in Golden Heart’s 4-week boarding and training course. We have been extremely pleased with his outcome and his very positive reaction to his boarding experience (not to mention our enjoyment of the regular Facebook videos of Bob in training progress and socializing with his doggy friends). Becca and her crew built a strong foundation in Bob and taught us so much about how to understand and work with him. Although he is still shy when meeting strangers and may always be, we know the process to use in working through his shyness, helping him to feel more confident, and making sure he clearly knows his boundaries and what is expected of him. He can relax and depend upon us to protect him.

We are impressed with Becca’s knowledge of dogs and her enthusiasm to strive for the best outcome for both the dog and the owner, and we think that her business is professionally and efficiently operated, and her staff is top notch.

Thanks, Golden Heart!!
