I found this place to be a shell game when it comes to the discounts. For example: my wife found a piece of clothing that was supposed to be 50% off for its sale, however at the register they try to tell me it's linen so therefore it doesn't count and sell it to me at full price.
Secondly, I have found many used items that were donated to this store to help its local community ... At least that's the hook. In reality items are being priced for more than it cost to buy them new with a warranty in the regular stores. So this is definitely a buyer beware store.
In conclusion I find this store to be offensive in the manner in which it takes advantage of the good local senior citizens which don't know any better and don't know how to use technology to do price comparisons prior to their purchasing. I'm certain it is possible to find a "good deal" lost in the abyss if someone we're to dedicate their afternoon to finding one. However, I will not be returning based upon the illusion of a potential heart change of greed.

Golden Goose had a wonderfully friendly vibe from the staff as soon as you walk through the door and all throughout the store. It was my first time there, and it seems like they have a quick turn around of items. They have a plentiful selection of jewelry, furniture, and glassware. There is also a nice case of film cameras; though I wish to have seen more. It would have also been nice to have seen more variety in the clothing they put out. Most clothing is marketed towards the older population, and if you’re looking for any men’s clothing besides golf tees, there isn’t much to see. It was a busy day for a Thursday afternoon! Happy thrifting!

It’s a thrift store, so you’d expect to see a wide variety of interesting things. They definitely do have that. Also really low prices. Very enjoyable to sift through. It was also really crowded and everyone was digging pretty hard. I’m guessing new stuff must constantly be coming in. I love thrift stores for looking at the totally random carts full people manage to pull out. They didn’t disappoint on that score either.

While visiting family, I needed to get my thrift in. My fam was not into thrifting so they gave me a time limit of 60 minutes but I needed much more to check out all of the wonderful treasures in this shop. The sale prices were fantastic and the markdowns even better. I would love to revisit the next time I find myself in Tucson. Everyone working that day was so helpful and friendly and a truly good cause.

Had to put 1 start thats the only option to do a review, Golden Goose deserves 0 stars I bought a dog pen that of course it was incomplete missing parts took it back they couldn’t give me a refund because I didn’t had a receipt, understood they ask for receipt but when checking out they asked you if you want a receipt or not. They should tell you you need a receipt for refunds. They should check thing first before putting in it on the floor for sale, besides $20 for it wasn’t really a bargain for being a thrift store if we go here is because we can’t buy a new one and go here and they stole from you instead of helping you. Thanks a lot Golden Goose and thank you to Managers good for nothing an old lady of course because they’re all old and Ron for your incompetence as manager and not making a customer happy. Great customer service.

I've never encountered any issues here nor have I found a single thing l wanted for the prices charged.
I find the 2pm closing time a bit odd and counterproductive.

The Collector

There's an older woman who sometimes works registers, she has shoulder length grey hair, and glasses. I believe her name is Linda. She is always making her rude little remarks whenever I check out in her lane. The other day, I was purchasing some kids clothing. All the other volunteers give me the kids clothes for half off like all the other clothes, but not Linda. She starts yelling across the way that kids clothing isn't included. Then the nice lady checking me out asks another associate and he tells her to give them to me for half off. Then Linda begins shouting across the way that they're VAC, no discounts! The volunteer tells Linda they aren't VAC. Seems Linda just didn't want me to have them. I don't know what I did, but Linda must really dislike me. I mean, she's crying over a few dollars on things that the Goose gets for free. I've seen some of the same kids clothes there for weeks.

My other issue is that the Goose places stickers right on the covers of the books. When you try to remove them, half the time, they damage the cover. I collect books, and this is very frustrating. Please place the sticker on the inner cover.
