Michelle is a fantastic instructor. The class was challenging, and I began with anxiety that I wouldn’t pass, but I suppose that’s how a WFR course should be- Uncertainty is part of the job. Be prepared for some stress, and be prepared to leave feeling confident.

Her scenarios were tailored to the occupational conditions of her students, and she expected a high degree of excellence. If you choose to take this course, you’ll leave with more than a certificate- this experience will shape you into someone who can actually make a difference, and potentially save a life.

This course was without question very well run and organized.
The classroom lectures were informative and given more life by the instructor's first hand experiences which he shared with us daily. The ten hour days went by quickly for me with short breaks peppered throughout in addition to many scenarios which were held both inside and outside. I very much appreciated that very few videos shown. The instructor provided really interesting mock emergency situations which we had to address either solo or as a team. I would enthusiastically recommend this course to anyone working or spending a lot of time outdoors. I for one, walked away more informed and confident than what is was and how I felt when I walked into the class on the first day. Thank you to GEM for offering such an amazing program.

Took the WFR class and it was awesome. First it was at the firefighter training facility in Boulder surrounded with lot's of great history there. Second, it was a very dynamic course, very knowledgeable teacher and very good simulations to practice.

The process was super easy, you have to work hard to study and prep but the portal and material make it very easy to be clear on it.
