I love going to the cooking classes. I always learn something new and there is no judgement when I mess up the recipe. Dave and Cortney are great at teaching their craft in a welcoming environment. On a plus side, they sell fresh spices that are typically cheaper than the store, fresher, and much better tasting. You can buy honey and olive oil and other fun cooking things. If you want to try something new or just have a fun night, go to Gather!!

My daughter and I were gifted a tamale cooking class (thanks, Caryl!!) on Friday night. Owners Courtney and Dave (Dave was our instructor and perhaps our new favorite comedian) have built an amazing business. Dave taught our class and was knowledgeable and hilarious and a fantastic teacher. Five stars, 10/10, 💯.

Gather Food Studio is wonderful! Our cooking class was so much fun and expertly lead! Courtney and Dave are super friendly and fun to work with. And the food is phenomenal! Classes are affordable and you get to bring home the recipes and leftovers! They even have cooking classes and cooking camps for kids! Such a great experience!

Dave and Courtney are the best! Every recipe that I've cooked in class has been fantastic - from scones, to tamales, to the Japanese favorites class. The classes are fun, the people are great, and the experience is just top notch. My mom flies in from Oregon to visit me and take classes. We definitely keep coming back!

I was in town visiting and a friend booked a class for us. We had the BEST time! Chef Dave is extremely knowledgeable and fun. The place is adorable and all the recipes were delicious. Would go again in a heart beat if I lived closer.

WONDERFUL place for taking cooking classes and for buying fresh spices, hard to find foodstuffs for cooking and quality items for cooking. I have taken in store and on-line classes from 3 chefs and cooks so far, all well trained with a wealth of info. (Dave and Courtney are special.) In store are always a fun, social experience where you get to eat 3-4 dishes in meal form after (except baking where you take home what you make) and all classes with take-home in your own-brought containers for even another meal or so. Lots of smiling, laughs, good smells, and foods make for a good lunch or evening time entertainment and learning with recipes to take home. The kid's classes and many adult ones sell out fast! So get your place early. A Louisana friend says it is THE place in town to buy authentic grits. I love their spices myself. There are hard-to-find Asian, African and Middle Eastern spices freshly ground. They supply local honeys even in bulk, including their own hive. They have fresh foodstuffs from local suppliers like yummy Sawatch butter. In summer/early fall, they have started a small farmers market in yard with local suppliers twice monthly on Saturdays. I love the enthusiasm of this place and will keep coming back.
