Taught me patience, to forgive myself and others, to be an all around better person, to love myself and others, to never let my guard down and never give up.! Gateway gave me all of these suggestions and I took what works for me and I still got the rest in my toolbox for when I might need them! I am so grateful for the open arms and love I was given multiple times from all Gateway staff! They all showed me direction; and i am still going forward! The app is great and offers so much. The connection we get to keep and build with others that are going through what I have; it'd just amazing!!!

I have been through gateway 3 times and every time I learned something new. Counselors encouraged me and pulled me when needed. Staff was excellent. Good food. Proper nurse and doctor care. Every staff member inspired me and gave me hope. Now I am in sober living and dealing with my life in a proper way. Gateway Jacksonville saved my life and helped me cope with the death of my brother.

I can't say enough how grateful I am for the amazing Jacksonville Gateway staff and the life changing experience they facilitated. I was there for their residential (inpatient) treatment, and I highly recommend it to anyone with substance abuse issues as it is undeniably the gold standard of treatment and recovery education. The building, grounds, and dorms (2 people per room) are immaculate and beautiful. The chefs and the meals they prepare are incredible - you'd be hard pressed to find any better elsewhere (especially if you have Medicaid). The counselors are beyond reproach; they are undoubtedly some of the most compassionate, knowledgeable, and understanding individuals in their line of work and human beings that I have ever met. Without them, the other clients, and all the staff there, I don't know where I'd be today, but I do know I wouldn't be the person I am today. They helped me rise to become the best version of me I've ever been. For that and so much more, I will forever be thankful for and appreciative of "my G-Bros, G-Staff, and G-Way." For anyone reading this, do not hesitate to call - these fantastic people just might save your life and will definitely change it for the better.

My only regret I have about the recovery home at Jacksonville Gateway is that I didn't know about it sooner. I was able to accomplish way more than I expected while I was there. Achieving one goal after another just helped to motivate me to do more. The staff was awesome. From the director to my personal recovery coach to the counselors, they all made my stay a success with their encouragement and resources they offered. I always felt comfortable to be able to approach any of them knowing they would do there best to help me with whatever they could. The facility was nicer than any other place I have enrolled in and I would highly recommend that anyone should add this stage of recovery in their journey to maintaining sobriety.

My stay at the Gateway foundation, this time around, was by far the best and well needed experience of a lifetime! Although I will admit the first time was my first eye opener to which first led me to realize who I am and my worth. Without the professional and experienced help I witnessed and endured I don't know where I would be today. I recommend the gateway foundation for anyone who is experiencing not only substance abuse but mental or spiritual blocks or diversities.

Honest to God life saver. No doubt in my mind I'd be in a very very bad place had it not been for their help. I made the call and was immediately welcomed into the community. I entered into residential and was able to transition over to their recovery unit. Any anxiety or stress I had was immediately removed by the awesome staff and peers.
Staff helped create a plan that was focused on "my" recovery. They helped identify my triggers my stressors and how to cope while recovering from a fatal disease. One of the things that Gateway provides that I don't think is known very much are the resources that are provided. Recovery doesn't stop when you transition out of the program. Staff gave me an abundant amount of resources to make sure my recovery came first. Also that I was comfortable and supported outside of their care.
I really can't say enough about the care and love. Definitely a life saver highly suggest to anyone with any substance struggle.
