My family recently fell on hard times. As someone who is typically very independent, it was hard for me to ask for help. They were very kind and helpful, and had a very nice selection. I did not feel ashamed in any way. We are lucky to have a service like this in our community for when people need a little help.

I've been coming here for a couple of years. I usually go during one of the only 2 available disability time slots. Well, since the summer, Mike, who ran the program, has retired. It has been a disaster week after week since. Every week, rotating staff, rules, lines, etc. Last week, they decided that handicap persons on Fridays could no longer be in line. It used to always be handicap then elderly. Now they want to come and tell everyone only elderly can come and disability persons over 60. The rules are frustrating and discriminating at this point. So if I'm under 60 the only day to come is Tuesdays? I don't know how much paperwork you need to prove a disability? I have handicap plates, I can get paperwork from my doctor, but I'm sure my exact disability is not your business. Not all people with disabilities have a walker or wheelchair. Today I did not go and I want to cry. It's not fair, it's hurtful, and there is no other day that works for me to get help for my family.
Even when bringing up any concerns you're told you can leave, bye, and mocked by the staff. Especially this elderly woman, skinny, with short bob styled grey hair and glasses. She is always condescending to everyone. Every week they change the rules and every week when people are confused and frustrated she laughs at us and tells us if we don't like it to leave. It's awful, just awful at how us long timers are being treated.

I used to go there regularly it was good, over time it got terrible the fighting outside pushing shoving like a bunch of starved animals they blocked off the parking lot the administrator actually came out and yelled at everyone about her high blood pressure they questioned me about my work status as if I would choose to stand in line for expired and half rotten food not exaggerating very rude volunteers haven't been back since 2020 too many people not enough food for everyone
