Definitely a great and informative course. Dave is a very patient and knowledgeable instructor. He will make sure you have a better understanding of the law. He will teach you how to SAFELY handle, use, clean and carry a firearm before you leave his classroom. If there is anything you don't understand he will answer any and all of your questions, don't believe me, just ask him yourself. Trust me money well spent.

I really appreciate Dave. I’ve been waiting to get a licensure since a young boy. I’ve always had a strong fascination with firearms and Dave’s ability to continuously teach a class over and over again, still showing a strong interest in it, no matter the ignorance of the people, speaks levels. No room for error. Dave’s good dude.

Who you gonna call when you want excellent weapons training? Dave Myers at Five Rings Armory, that’s who! I highly recommend Dave. I have been through certification in a few states, but none has been as thorough as the training Dave conducts. Is it monotonous if you already know what you’re doing, perhaps. But if, like me, you desire to always know the laws of each state, and you enjoy a good refresher, Five Rings Armory is great for the seasoned pro as well as the absolute beginner. Dave is friendly and well versed is all things “weaponry” related. It is obvious that he takes great pride in making sure his students understand the safety and precautions necessary when handling firearms. Once on the range, he and his team are meticulous and measured to ensure each firearm is secure and that each pupil does what is necessary for certification. Five Rings offers courses at different times for different skill levels and has an accessible facility and parking. All of scheduling information can be found on the website. I enjoyed the weekend course which included a mix of skill levels: some professionals and some beginners. If you wish to get trained and certified to carry a firearm, Five Rings Armory in Carbondale is the place I recommend from personal experience. Very informative & interesting class. Instructor was very knowledgeable & answered any questions that were asked thoroughly. Going into the class i didn’t feel completely comfortable with my firearm, but now i am confident that i can safely carry my firearm and use it properly.

Coming into the CCL training as a first time shooter with no experience five rings not only gave me the knowledge but also the confidence.
