I have maintained a client relationship with First Command and their predecessor company since 1993. I can confidently say not every First Command advisor has Tym’s talent for coaching and building relationships.

To illustrate, I had 2 advisors (not coaches) in the late 1990s that lacked the quality people skills and expert financial wisdom that you will find with Tym. I was so disappointed, I chose move my account to basically an “in active” status and stopped investing with the predecessor company due to the unfortunate experience I had with my “assigned” advisors.

Fast forward 27 years, as we began approaching retirement age, we wanted to consolidate multiple investment accounts under one roof, so we decided to give First Command another try since many years had passed as did our geographical location. We checked on the advisor profile page of our local First Command office and selected Tym. We initially proceeded slowly and cautiously to see if any of the old guard mentality was lingering. We were pleasantly surprised that Tym had the kind of people skills and knowledge that resonated with us. Now many months later nearly all my investments are consolidated under First Command under an actively managed system (AMS).
