I have felt loved and accepted at FBCO in the moment I entered the doors. This church welcomed me with open arms and I feel like they are family.
Pastor Doug is an amazing pastor, the worships are inspiring and meaningful on every week.

A review for First Baptist Academy.. Our two children have attended this school for over 9 years. The school’s Christian curriculum is amazing and their graduating classes are extremely well equipped for college and beyond. More importantly, every teacher and administrator carry a love in their heart for our children that is God inspired. They partner with parents through tough times and truly show Christ’s love. I’ve never seen a team of individuals work harder because they feel a calling to the school and the students. We highly recommend this school for any age, K-12th!

I grew up in small churches, so I was initially very hesitant to visit a larger church. However, FBCO does an amazing job of offering a large variety of small groups at all hours, and it took me no time at all to feel like I was welcomed and loved and had a place there. The pastors speak Biblical messages AND encourage you to read the Bible for yourself instead of just taking their word for it; it's a very healthy church, in my experience. Love this place, love the people, and love the messages!

They impressed us with their Christian curriculum, small class sizes and a promise to provide a secure and loving environment but this school is a joke. Our experience with this school is that they allow their teachers to emotionally, physically and verbally abuse their students. Our child had plenty of examples about how their teacher would say to them & other students in their class that they should be ASHAMED of themselves for not getting anything but an A... in elementary school! They make fun of students, saying mean things about them to the class, if they’re absent.

Teachers are known to belittle children on a regular basis, they use negative reinforcement in class which is a scare tactic to try to keep children in-line instead of using positive encouragement to lift them up & Encourage them to do better. The principal even has a widely known rule that no one is allowed to talk badly about the school… This is why I cannot find any honest reviews about the school online.

We even seeked counseling for our child because of their traumatic experiences at this school. Funny thing is… One of the counselors said that she attended First Baptist Academy for several years and that she hated it — because, get this… “They mistreat children.” !!!!!!!!! Her words!!

I encourage anyone who has ever had a child in this school to write an open and honest review!!!

I might as well mention that the school has a bullying problem… We ended up enrolling our child in self-defense classes so that they would be able to hold their own while at this “Christian” school. Bullying became so bad that finally at the end of the school year (why they waited until the end of the year is beyond me ) decided to bring in a professional counselor and had an assembly to talk to the kids about bullying.

Hopefully my honest review does not get bumped to the bottom... as soon as the school sees this post they will ask members of their church… Who are also friends of theirs… To post a bunch of fake positive reviews - Because that is what they do.

We have found a home at First Baptist Academy in O'fallon! We were looking for strong integration of Biblical truth throughout the curriculum and a caring faculty. This Christian school is filled with teachers and staff member that love the Lord, and lead by example. They are willing to go above and beyond for their students, to ensure they succeed. My daughter goes to school excited and feels loved by everyone there. Less than a year, I have seen her grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally. I recommend this school for so many reasons and I am grateful that God led me to FBA.
