This church has compromised it's standards and not the same church that I remembered as a youth some 60 years ago; congregational singing is almost non existent, only ones singing are those participating in the praise group on stage; great preaching though; disappointed that they didn't sing a lot of the old traditional hymns; friendly people; If I lived here I certainly wouldn't be a member, although I am of the Baptist faith.

Have been a member for over 20 years. Pastor Steve Lovelady was the most brilliant bible scholar I’ve ever met, when he retired his son Ben took over. Ben has been able to equally intellectually challenge but has also done it with a modern and current style. The congregation is very kind and accepting. This church is a hidden gem and the sermons deserve national distribution.

From the first time we came to Sunday service, We're welcomed in . Pastor personally caught up with is after service to meet myself and family.Covid hit and didn't go back for another 9 months later. Pastor still remembered our names and welcomed us back again. Signed up to become members in January. Looking forward to being a permanent part of FBC-Silvis.

If you are looking for a Gospel preaching, family filled, and Christ centered Church, this is the place. We have been going here for over a decade, and all three pastors are amazing! God is alive and worshiped here immensely. Pastor Ben Lovelady loves his flock, but more importantly the Lord! He speaks the Spirit filled Word and you will be energized for Lord! Pastor Alex is a great speaker and you will be blessed by his teaching. Pastor Lovelady is “retired” but fills the pulpit from time to time, and is the most intelligent and interesting person I have ever met. You will be welcomed here and loved. There is no judgement or a bunch of people in suits pointing fingers at you. The atmosphere is relaxed. The music is a mix of contemporary and old hymns. The attire is come as you are. There is no pressure here, but you will feel the Lord’s Spirit and blessing. Sunday school stats at 930 and worship service starts at 1045. Also, your kids will be safe and loved here, as every worker is screened. Whether your single or married or trying to recconnect with God, you belong here. Also, there is a great AWANA program every Wednesday night for the kiddos. They will learn scripture and have tons of fun!

Friendly community oriented church, Sunday school, Wednesday night Awana and and bible study, home connect groups bible study, women’s studies, men’s studies, Thursday night Pathway youth group. Definitely something for everyone!
