The other company we were using went out of business, so we were switched to Ferrellgas. We are on their budget billing plan. Every month I have had to call them for one problem or another. First they cut our monthly payment in half, and we knew by the end of the year there wouldn't be enough money in our account to cover the gas used. So I called them and asked them to change my payment. Then they didn't take the payment out the next month, so I had to call them again. They said we didn't owe anything They assured me the payment would be taken out the next month. I'm now waiting to see what's going to happen. Their customer service is good about calling you back, and when the tank meter is about 20 percent they are right here filling the tank, but the billing dept. needs to get it together.

Absolute worst customer service and company I have ever dealt with in Pagosa Springs Colorado. I have been a residence of Pagosa Springs for 33 years and I’ve never experienced such incompetence. I would stay away from this company. There are much more highly respected gas companies in Pagosa Springs that are local based. Do your research but stay away from this company at all costs.

The only reason I have one star is because you can’t give zero stars. They completely screwed up the transition of my account when Ferrell took over. Called 3 times and went to the office once to try to get propane delivered. They kept telling us we are on the list. After 3.5 weeks of their promises we gave up and went to a competitor. Many of our neighbors have also given up on Ferrell. Word spreads quickly. My bet is they will be out of business within the year due to poor service

Customer service is generally very poor, with one exception of a nice lady in Grand Junction. The first person I talked to was on the edge of rude. I was trying to setup a tank refill and was given a 2 week window when they might be able to come. If we needed it sooner there'd be a charge of $200 to $100 dollars depending on how soon.
It takes lots of time on hold to talk to anyone on the phone. Our new propane company(Arrowhead )is responsive, polite, and not trying to monitze every service.

This review is for after Selphs was bought by Ferrell Gas. They let us run dry this winter. We were on the route delivery as we had been for 6 years, we were on the budget billing with over $600 sitting in our account(turns out they had not delivered to us in over three months) . I left two messages when we got low, because it was impossible to get to a person, I called their after hours line too and the gal told me someone would call back, and I heard NOTHING. I gave up when our tank was at 2 percent and switched to another company, who thank God was able to get out there and hook us up right away. Then I called 4 more times over March and April, because they were holding onto my money and had not picked up their tank. I finally had to go into their office, where the gal asked if I had called. She got my refund started though and I received it within 3 days. Now I just got a bill for over $80 and their tank is still sitting on my property. There seems to be no recourse for these companies, so a 1 star review seems appropriate.

Well it is now 2025, and I am still dealing with this nonsense company since I got a bill on 12/19/2024 charging me for a tank rental. The tank that they never picked up even though I went into their office to tell them to pick it up and close my account in April of 2024! I called on 12/19/2024 asking to speak to a manager(which I have only had to do at a company one other time) because I am tired of nothing happening and this company billing me and not doing any part of their job. Will update again after I talk to the gal that left me a message.

The worst propane company around! These guys have let me run out of propane multiple times. Then, they try to act as if it's my fault somehow when I've been on the keep full list since I started using them several years ago. I have since switched to Intermountain propane after the last time they let me run completely out. I've been waiting over 2 months for them to pick up their empty tank. I highly recommend switching to Intermountain Propane! Save yourselves the headaches and frozen pipes!
P.S. your empty tank is now in the ditch in front of my house as you "Ferrellgas" is not welcome on my property ever again.

We had to cancel after almost running out of propane last winter. You really have to go in person and then be put on the list of customers who are 30% or less. Even then it was nail biting waiting for them to show up. They have very poor customer service. finally canceled service in April and still get bills from them. We owe nothing so not sure why they keep billing us. Even going in person, my information was just written on a yellow post it. Now we’re getting bills for our old address for a tank we no longer rent. I had to take off from work and drive to their business so I could settle this. I was then ignored by all three people working there while I stood and waited. In the time I was there, two other people came in and were also unhappy customers. Finally I got noticed and the lady took down my information on a post it with two other post it’s on top. Apparently they were billing both me and the new owners for tank rental. She said she would call, I know she never will. I would advise not going with them, winter is coming….
Edit - tried contacting the email sent below because I’m still getting billed for tank rental - email does not work. Not too surprised

Had a service tech open a gate on driveway and ignored a no trespass sign. driving a car with Texas plate... no ID shown and wanted to install a cell monitor on my tank.. I live remote and do not have cell service. Told him to get back in the car and close the gate on the way out. Called the office and asked for a manager to call me. 5 bucks says I will never hear from a manager.

I will be shopping for a new propane provider...
