Stopped by to visit Build Coffee and also had a chance to peruse the offerings at the indoor Farmer's Market. Great coffee and service at Build. Just wish there were more seats...had to get my coffee to go. Will have to visit again during the week when it is less busy!

Wonderful organization that does a lot for the community. In addition to hosting the 61st St farmers market, they run lots of programs and help distribute resources to Hyde Park. Friendly people! Check out Build Coffee and Blackstone Bicycles in their building!

Build Coffee!
Love the decor- it feels really comfortable and homey. And they pretty much whatever you're looking for in terms of coffees. I'm a latte fan, and they had a few to choose from- coffees and teas. I'm planning on going back and trying the others.

This is actually a review of the 61st Street Farmer's Market that is operated by the Experimental Station, on Saturdays 9 AM to 2 PM (but get there by noon). The market is full of good food, fruits, veggies, cheeses, meats, breads, plus flowers and cooked-to-order foods (I always get the crepes). Many times they have cooking demos, too. In bad weather, oh so rare in Chicago 😉 the booths move inside of the Exp. Sta. The prices are good, and the quality superb.
