I took the 8 hour CCW Renewal Course with Louis Evans. To be honest, I was a little hesitant when I first showed up to sign up a few days early as the building was a little run down the office seemed to be a bit of disarray. But the class worked for my schedule and it was very affordable so I gave him my money. Was I ever glad I made the right decision! He has very small class sizes (6 people!). It's a one-stop shop as the range is in front of his building in a shipping container! Louis was very knowledgeable and supportive with what we needed to learn, and he made it very entertaining. There is a reason why he has such great reviews. I'll be back when I have to renew again!

I was a little intimidated nervous going into the course, because you want to pass but Mr. Evans was very informative, Made the class fun not so rigid, Got a lot of information that we needed to pass all the tests As well as the Help we needed for the shooting range. It was fun and met other people...

THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOUR CCW TRAINING!!!!

After waiting for 2 long years I finally got the OK to get my training. I went through the approved list for training facilities and really researched and spoke to a number of them and after seeing Evan's has THEIR OWN RANGE (I am not a fan of LAX Ammo) I called and spoke with Louis and I was sold!

I was expecting a long 2 days of boring instruction but boy was I wrong. The class was small which I really liked and Louis really made the whole experience interesting, informative and fun! He had an answer for every question or scenario I threw at him due to his a very long history in law enforcement.

I ended up learning more than I thought I would not only in the classroom but on the range. Louis helped with my stance and had me try my other eye when sighting the target and my aim improved!

I can't say enough great things about Louis and the whole experience, trust me, this is where you need to go for your training!!

If you are looking for a wonderful school to obtain your CCW qualifications look no further than Evans Security School. Louis , the owner, teaches the classes and he is a wealth of knowledge. He takes the time to go over all the materials necessary for the exam. He answers all the students questions. Our class scored 100 percent on the exam and instructs the students how to aim at the targets to ensure proficientcy. Louis in engaging and speaks from countless years of experience. Thanks Louis !

It was truly a pleasure attending my class at Evans Security. Mr. Evans’ humor, wisdom, knowledge, and attention to detail was bar none. I highly recommend his classes and renewals when needed. Most importantly, he welcomes everyone with open arms — no question is a dumb question here. I left his class with a great wealth of knowledge. I’ll definitely return in the future.

Amazing Academy, Sir Evans was not only exceptional but extremely professional and helpful. You won't find one on one training like this Academy. Highly recommend it for all your security needs, services, CCW. They also hold a one of a kind, state of the art mobile shooting range at a low affordable price.

Fun fact: Kendrick Lamar received his guard guard in this very same training Academy many years ago!

I took the CCW training class with Mr. Evans. It was 16 hours. This man knows the process like the back of his hand because he has been training for so long. So through much of the class conversation, we learned CCW safety and rules. He really knows how to train you to shoot. I passed my written test and I passed the 3ft, 5ft, and 7ft shooting test with flying colors.

I just completed tge CCW Training course. Mr, Evans is a wealth of knowledge and experience. He breaks down the law in its simplest terms. His humor and patience is perfect in the setting. He encouraged the students to interact and have healthy debates over the material.
I highly recommend this training.
