Currently, Epic labels themselves as an organization that does job placement in Springfield Il. My daughter has a case open with DRS and they sent us to Epic. We have been waiting for the initial meeting since late January. They scheduled a meeting for mid February but then cancelled and rescheduled it out another month almost immediately. Today was supposed to be the meeting. Wouldn't you know it that they called this morning to cancel today's meeting. The reasoning...wait for it... they are in Peoria and just can't make it to Springfield. Now please check their informative website which shows a Springfield office and shows a pretty green explanation mark on Sangamon County (where Springfield resides). The green check mark states that they provide job placement services. How do you do that when you can't make the first meeting with my daughter? I think this place wants to give you the warm fuzzies on their website but when it actually comes to caring about doing what they say they do in Springfield they come up very short. If you don't have an office in Springfield than remove it from your website. At least make an attempt to be correct. Do not give parents with children with disabilities false hope by acting like you do anything in Springfield. Feel free to contact me with questions.

As a person with developmental disabilities and borderline intellectual, my experience with EP!C has not been empowering like they aim to be. I was referred to EP!C by a local care coordinator just to reach out and check out their services as I'm unemployed, not independent, and need structure. Firstly, reaching out and gaining contact with the people whose information I had was a nightmare, they do not keep up on email and are forgetful. But finally I was able to schedule a tour of the facility and meet the staff.

The director of community day services and the chief operating officer of Ep!c, both lied to me and both chose to ignore me by not responding to my attempts to communicate with them when it came time to trialing their services. They weren't willing to respond to me directly, instead I reached out to another contact who was able to be the messenger. By how I was treated, I got the wrongful impression that these people are in their positions for the wrong reasons.

I am all about second chances, it's still not too late to right your wrong, please reach out to me directly and make it right with me without lying to me, without excuses, without the use of a messenger. Please show me that you fully care and stand behind your mission statement.

As I was delivering food to the Epic Center today, I didnt understand the sign that asked me to press a grey button to gain access to the building to complete the delivery prompting the woman at the desk to have to do something to open the door for me from the inside. As I entered the facility I was greeted with a tilted head abhorrent look of bewilderment directed at me and a snide questioning of my ability to find the necessary button needed to access the lobby. As around others looked on she attempted to belittle and shame me and reprimand me like I were an incapable male not deserving of any respect. Being my first time visiting this facility I chose not to interact with her and be scolded for a simple misunderstanding as others watched so I turned and briskly thanked her and exited the situation. She must not of appreciated my dismissal of her unnecessary attitude and chose to give me a very poor rating and a nick on my friendliness merit. So in return, I must return the favor. I also took the time to craft this more appropriate signage that they can use in the future on their front entry to advise visitors of the necessary steps needed to not be treated as a visitor from another planet and publicly shamed. I assume they all had a good laugh after my departure so I will be sharing this review all over many platforms of social media as well as gossiping about town. Cheers. Maybe I will deliver you food again as I bid farewell with a friendly 'C U Next Tuesday' as we ring in the new year where I hope your resolution is to fix your less than desirable demeanor

They discharged my Brother-In-Law with zero communication. He had a feeding tube placed, they were supposed to be trying to hire a second nurse to accommodate. In the last six months of calling once a month a nurse was not hired and when looking it was never even posted! All the sudden he is discharged 18 years later!

TERRIBLE FACILITY! They lie. They refused my son employment services when we asked questions about COVID. Since we didn't bow to their agenda, they discriminated against him. They also claimed they are a medical facility. I wasn't aware they needed a medical license to do job placement. I would never trust my child with disabilities to these people. Their "leaders" came back and lied thru their teeth to cover their butts!! Very unethical. Of course what do you expect from a facility that is ran by the corrupt State of Illinois.
