Went to donate for the cause but was told I was an entitled white person and shouldn't be on the land I was currently on in order to donate. I fully support individuals living their truth and navigating the complexities of discovering their identity, but it's disingenuous to promote an outdoor program for youth to push political narratives about gender identities and racial politics to kids and literally condemn supporters for while they are actively trying to donate. Donation money can go to a program that actually relates to getting kids outside versus politics.

ELK creates lasting memories. My son caught a fish for the first time and went camping with ELK by the time he was five years old! This organization truly cares about the youth they work with and offers fun and exciting educational adventures for kids elementary school aged through the college years, with older youth having unique opportunities to mentor younger kids. ELK is a family-like inclusive environment that allows kids to explore, learn, and benefit from mentor relationships - it's the best!

ELK does amazing work in the Denver metro region! They provide fun and unique opportunities to get kids outdoors who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity. And more than just getting them outside, they make science fun for kids and teach them natural science along the way. They also do a surprisingly great job at being relevant for any age kid - including being a 'cool' activity to participate in for older teens. Highly, highly recommend ELK and their amazing staff. Super trustworthy and caring people, who practice what they preach.

Environmental Learning-Kids is an astounding organization who cares about all children. We have been part of ELK for about 3 years now and our experience has been magnificent. I am the head of a unprivileged family where we commonly don't have the opportunities to experience outdoor activities, nor to have transportation to those spectacular places out of town, Those opportunities are gold for us. We are so grateful to have ELK in our community. Also, ELK, are powerful influences from excellent role models for our children who lack of male figures in their lives. ELK have had the top level staff who are kind, caring, loving, understanding, admirable, knowledgeable, wise, responsible, respected, champions, adventurous, brilliant, enthusiastic, friendly for our entire family. As a parent, having the possibility to be part of ELK, have change the direction of our lives, putting a positive and hopeful note in my kids future. My children are more happy and joyful, after experienced all this activities in nature, not only during their summer off school months, but throughout the 12 months of the year. ELK is a great community of parents and kids who have internalized important values and principles through ELK. We, feel safe and cared for, not only by the amazing ELK leaders but for the rest of the families who are part of ELK. We also have learned to be respectful to other humans and nature and to our entire world by taking care of our natural resources and landscapes, so we continue enjoying the vast mountain range here in Colorado. I want also to mention that adolescence is a big concern for me as a single parent of a special needs child, with all the challenges my kid faces, suicide has happened in my children's school; being part of ELK, I have noticed the difference of my children's attitude towards difficult events/circumstances, they have become more resilient and also more empathetic towards others, and I am proud to say that ELK has marked a difference in my children's lives when they say "Mom, I love this beautiful life".

Soy la cabeza de una familia con bajos recursos economicos donde generalmente no tenemos la oportunidad de experimentar actividades al aire libre, Estamos muy agradecidos de tener ELK en nuestra comunidad. Además, ELK, tiene poderosas influencias de excelentes modelos a seguir para nuestros hijos. ELK tiene el personal de nmas alto nivel que es amable, atento, amoroso, comprensivo, admirable, conocedor, sabio, responsable, respetado, campeón, aventurero, brillante, entusiasta, amigable para toda nuestra familia. It's a pretty good mission and has some great people in the staff (hence 2 stars, not just 1). But I stopped donating and volunteering when the new Executive director (Juan) cut off transparency with the finance committee with no notice and then was short and unprofessional his response when asked why he didn't communicate anything to us. So I stopped donating and volunteering my time.

I have been a part of this program for over 6 years. I have went fishing, camping, snowboarding, and hiking all for the first time with Elk. A plus is that every activity is always free! I am so greatful to be part of the loving friendly community that Elk provides. This program has changed my life In the best way possible. I have experienced things I would have never even thought of doing if it wasn’t for this company! I highly suggest you join the family!
