My daughter worked with Conor for her college application process, mainly with essay writing. He kept her on track with meetings and was very flexible if more sessions were needed and with scheduling overall. Both her and I felt very comfortable speaking to him right from the start which was an important factor; it's not easy to work with a stranger and a lot of personal information can come out during the essay writing process!!! She did enjoy working with him. We are proud that she got into some great colleges and she was deciding between UCLA and Berkeley and she chose Berkeley! I highly recommend him!

I have two sons, different ages and areas of need, working with two different tutors through Engage Tutoring. Both tutors have been extremely professional and successful! My older son worked with Linda, who really made a difference by helping him get organized and prioritize the many tasks during his senior year in college. She was the most caring, supportive and lovely person to work with for both my son and myself! My younger son is working with Argishti and getting help with math. My son was very resistant to any help at first, but Argishti was able to help him improve his grade and is continuing to make a difference by helping my son improve his skills and self confidence! Conor Murphy is an amazing tutor. He is smart, professional, compassionate and funny. He teaches his clients in a manner where he offers his students tools to apply to their work, helping them figure out what they need to know and how to research topics that may be unfamiliar, without merely doing the work for them. This collaborative approach enables his students to feel confident and have a complete understanding of the material being covered. He gives positive reinforcement while making the process enjoyable and fun. We thought we could handle the college application process on our own but quickly realized we needed help. Jack and Conor were amazing. Our son worked with Jack reviewing his list of colleges and coaching him on his essay prompts. Jack helped ease the stress of the application process. Our son was accepted to several UC schools as well as UW, Indiana and Fordham. He ultimately chose UCLA. We are very proud of his hard work and grateful to have found Engage Tutoring.
