I have been training under Hanshi Eric LaLone for 12 years now along with my son who was 6 when we started. In that time we have changed physically and mentally for the better. Eric and his family are exactly that, FAMILY. They contribute to the community, they are always there for those in need, and are some of the most honest and friendly martial artists you'll find. The programs are of the highest quality, whether you are looking for self-defense street tactics, competition fight training, fitness that is fun and never boring or even weapons training including proper handling and firearm safety, you can ask for no better all encompassing school. His ability to train youth is incomparable, and I had my son in multiple schools locally before finding Eric and Empower, so I can give an honest assessment. The facility is always clean, the students are respectful and helpful, the location is a short distance from anywhere in the springs......what more can I say! Top pick in Colorado Springs for sure!

I have trusted Eric LaLone to train and teach my son son since he was 6 years old (now 17) and I would do it over and over again. Eric is wonderful with children, he can get on their level to make learning fun. I have also taken a few self-defense classes as well as concealed weapons courses and unique shooting courses. Eric not only trains in sport fighting, he prepares you for the street which is by far the most important part of the program, and your safety. He takes and experienced fighters, and he also trains people with no training at all.

My daughter has just taken their anti bullying workshop and it was beyond helpful. Eric is such a talented instructor and makes sure every student walks away with practical strategies on how to be confident and protect themselves from highly agressive people. Class was so fun and interactive. My 8 y.o. daughter loved it so much she asks me to sign her up for their weekly martial arts program. Highly recommend. A+++

Empower Training Center is the best place! I work with great people during mixed martial art class and I always have a great time in class! It was tough to get to red belt, but it was worth it! Hanshi Eric and the other instructors are wonderful teachers and always there to help you!

I have been a student here since February. I was very nervous to begin but as soon as I stepped foot in the gym I have always felt welcome. The environment of the gym is always positive.

I have been encouraged, challenged, and taught so many valuable lessons. My self-esteem and confidence have grown leaps and bounds. You won't find a more patient instructor who allows you to process each lesson taught. Hanshi Eric is always open to questions and has no problem going through things until you completely grasp something.
