I am a serious Rockhound!!! These people were very friendly, informative and family oriented. Their display of the product are amazing, with a huge variety of many different rocks and minerals. It was a delightful visit on each occasion I visited. Yes I would suggest for others to go and see what they have to offer, and yes I will be back again to this wonderful business. Thank you to the owners for my trips were more than enjoyable. Can't wait to go back

I think they are great programs ran by volunteers. I could be wrong. Please let me know if I am. Anyone that don't like the way it's ran see if you can help or volunteer in anyway.

Okay. I am deeply concerned by the poor quality reviews that do not accurately express who they are. This is a geology club that has educational meetings, potlucks, geological field trips, rockhounding activities and experiences, lapidary and wire wrapping craft groups, a kids program, field trips to swap meets and expos, and a yearly fair grounds expo event. I have done all of the above. I was also in the kids program in my youth back in the day. It was great. This is a great way to learn about geology, get experience in the geological field, and educate your children in the sciences and arts. This is also a good way to get involved with the cultural histories of Placerville and the surrounding area related to the Gold Rush.
