Ekim’s has the most empathic and knowledgeable teachers in the Quad Cities area. He diligently works with the youth of the community to build their confidence and gives them a sense of self worth that helps shape the next generation. As an adult woman kickboxing student it has improved my mental health and my physical strength to feel safe and able to be out alone. I can not give this gym a higher praise. Mike is a great instructor with little kids. He's the perfect amount of firm and friendly. He smiles while he yells. Karate is a physical sport, it isn't easy; but Mike tempers his being strict while showing compassion. He focuses on selfcontrol and technique. I see my kids going here for many years. Definitely recommend!

I also go here myself for kickboxing. As a lazy couch potato with no endurance, no physical fighting experience, and a handicap; I've never felt more than welcome! After a few months I've noticed positive physical changes and am so proud of myself. I'll definitely recommend Ekim's to anyone looking to check out karate or kickboxing!

Our Granddaughter Emma is in Karate at Ekim's. She loves it. Sensei Mike Smith is the best! He's great with kids of all ages helps them be the best. It's fun to watch her learn and grow in something she very passionate about.

This is a Great place to bring you kids, teenagers and even for adults! Mike is very knowledgeable and a excellent couch! It's more than a gym. More like a family! Everyone are very welcoming! Great role models!

I enjoy training at Ekim's to better myself. Plenty of bags to hit/kick. Mat space to drill, grapple, and spar. There is also a small weight lifting area (squat rack, hex bar, dumbbells, battle rope, pull-up bar, etc). This was huge for me. Now I can get a lift in after training. Master Mike is a very knowledgable person whose attention to detail has really allowed me to grow the last few months. To sum it up, I am grateful for finding out about Ekim's, and I love training there.
