We called on Ealing Tutoring Ltd during the first lockdown as home schooling our two children (year 2 and year 4 at the time) had become quite a negative experience and we were desperate to turn this around and bring the fun back into their learning. It was so refreshing talking to Amy, she was kind and empathetic and immediately seemed to understand which of her tutors would be a good fit for our children. We were not disappointed.

Our tutor is head of year 3 at one of the local schools and she is just fabulous. She is a brilliant tutor and the kids have absolutely loved their sessions with her. Now the children are back in school our daughter has continued with the tutoring as she needs some extra support and we are delighted with how much confidence she has gained with her learning. We’ve been contemplating tutoring for a while for our 6 year old son, now in year 2. Lockdown made us go for it. Home schooling was a fail but we wanted him to start back at school enthusiastic about learning again and also at around the level he should be for starting year 2. Amy from Ealing Tutoring really understood our needs and what would work well for our son. The tutor she suggested for us has been brilliant. Our son has lessons every weekend now. We’re keen to continue to help with the 7+ and I can see he’s really getting a lot out of it so it would be a shame to stop. He actually looks forward to the tutor coming every weekend. The lessons are really varied (even though we’ve been focusing on English), interactive, engaging and most importantly, fun. The tutor is great and really understands our son. I’m impressed by the prep that goes into each lesson and how she caters it to what he enjoys, whilst still ensuring she gets the most out of him. He came home yesterday super pleased with himself for being the only child in his class to get 5 class points for writing the ‘most interesting sentences’ in his English lesson. That is definitely a direct result of his tutoring lessons.

I was so lucky to find Ealing Tutoring this summer. At the beginning of lockdown we moved back to Ealing form Barcelona where my son (4) and my daughter (6) attended a bilingual Montessori. Last November we secured them places in a school with very high standards. We were aware that there was already quite a bit of catching up to do but then with missing so much school due to the pandemic I started to worry for my daughter in particular. I did some research and found Amy and her company. She was unbelievably helpful, very reassuring and totally understanding. She matched our needs with two brilliant tutors who my kids absolutely adored. They made learning so fun and they looked forward to their tutors arrival. Very quickly they learnt my kid’s strengths and weaknesses and tailored their sessions accordingly. My son got to start reception with a head start and my daughter got to start year two knowing important terminology and a basic understand of all the areas so it made it less daunting for her. I can’t thank the tutors enough and we look forward to our sessions this Christmas holiday. 10/10 and an A* from me!

The information from our initial consultation was used to match our reluctant writer to the perfect tutor who has demonstrated her professional experience and extensive knowledge of the primary curriculum to support and encourage him to make significant progress. Very professional services provided by Ealing Tutoring. I approached them at end of September to give my son some much needed intensive course to help him with his 11 + exam in January. Both the english and math tutors were teachers in local well known schools, they are very polite and very professional.
