I am a Rolfer and really enjoy this work, so in many ways I am grateful for my training and current profession. Many colleagues and professors are great. Unfortunately the institute itself was a unprofessional grind to get to. Unorganized, rude to many students, poor filtering of fellow classmates and letting many people in who had no business being there. Inconsistency in the basic training across professors, inconsistencies with the admin, expensive membership fees you continue to pay annually. Many of the best teachers are now gone. I honestly recommend looking at other SI schools, especially if you plan on relocating for this one.

I spent $6000 to move to Boulder for the class $800 on books, and $4000 on getting the relocation for my daughter to move with me (custody) I kept up with Mary all the way up until the class was intended to start verifying that im all set to start the class. One week before the class was supposed to start I got a call that the class is canceled because only 7 students signed up and they need 10. I don't care who you are, if you have a class you need to have a cut off sign up date or you make it happen with a small class. ESPECIALLY with people relocation only for the program. Because of custody and my job I could not stay in Colorado until 2023 when their next class starts. I find this to be incredibly unprofessional and just plain ridiculous. They were even sending assignments and required reading and essays up until a couple of weeks before they cancelled. Absolutely broke my heart. Im a single mom who invested everything into moving there for Absolutely nothing.

My experience here was not the best. I came here in 2014 to take a two week introductory seminar as a preliminary to the full program. I was going to take my full program offsite, in another state, but had to complete the two week program in Boulder. Our class was small, perhaps around 10 people.
It quickly became clear that there was some severe dysfunction in the class dynamics which revolved around the antics of a particular student. A lot of inappropriate things were said, and done. I and another student voiced our concern but were dismissed as pariahs or something like that. The teacher of our class was also enthralled with the dysfunction. It made it very difficult to learn here at this school. I was mocked by the other students in subtle ways, they were complicit with the innapropriate behavior of the one student. I was also blown off by another teacher at this school who was sitting in on the class. I had made an appointment with her for further instruction. When I got to the appointment, I waited 40 minutes past the start time. I could hear her in her treatment room laughing and talking, I knocked and left a message for her, but never heard from her again. After this terrible two weeks at the Rolf Institute, I took two more weeks and drove around Colorado. A couple of months later I heard that my offsite Rolf Instruction would be canceled due to lack of participation! What a fiasco. At least I got to spend 4 weeks in Colorado. Maybe things have changed at the Rolf Institute by now.

Attending The Rolf Institute is single-handedly the best decision I ever made in my life. It has drastically changed my life for the better and I am extremeley grateful for my education here.

I have degrees and educational experience from several top tier universities and my experience at RISI topped them all.

This is a school where you learn real world skills to dramatically improve the health of others. I have had clients now from 8 to 80 years of age who have seen aches, pains, and physical dysfunctions completely disappear. My massage therapist clients rave about the complexity and thoroughness of the work and many of them want to become Rolfers. I've seen people who have had chiropractic adjustments for years suddenly resolve their back pain in three sessions.

It is truly a beautiful gift you will learn to offer others if you attend here. And the Rolfing brand name is incredibly well-protected and valuable to have as a professional. I just want to say THANK YOU to all my teachers, the staff, and everyone else who orchestrates the running of the school. You've truly made a wonderful impact on my life.

I complained of one of their Rolfers in San Diego who had preyed upon a young man with mental health and addiction issues FOR YEARS (the young man eventually Killed himself).. He tried to prey upon me.
After showing them concrete evidence (texts)
THEY DID NOTHING.
Be very careful. Their ethics are broken and fake.

The best place to get a life-changing bodywork training that will enable you to positively impact the lives of others and make a good living doing something incredibly interesting. As a twenty year Rolfer, I can say that there is no equal on a practical, theoretical, or educational level.
