We had a great time at The Douglas-Hart Nature Center. We loved the trails and the ponds. We enjoyed feeding the fish. The Mindful Moments reminders were great. We had the best fun at the zip line and the playground. The volunteers in the nature center were so polite and helpful. It is a beautiful place to enjoy.

Great place for hiking and nature education. Don't forget to check out the pond and feed the fish and turtles! There are some big snapping turtles in that pond.

It's always nice to get out and take a walk in fresh air...I like to go out here and talk to God, I feel like I hear Him real good there and I asked Him why and He told me that every thing is doing what it's created to do. I said but we are Your creations too and I can be in a room full of people and not hear You as good...He told me, there is no sin out there...then it clicked...we don't be doing what we're supposed to do...anywho nice place to walk and feed some fishes and turtles. I gave it a four star only because the zip line could be better but we are in nature I guess. I went to the location in Mattoon

Stopped in on a road trip and they were the perfect little trails for a break. Was happy to see all the shorter distanced ones for people who can't take long walks. The shortest was 1/10th of a mile and several more under a mile. They even had walking sticks to borrow which was a nice touchm

I hadn’t visited Douglas-Hart Nature Center in years but I was pleasantly surprised to see all the new updates! The trails are kept immaculate. It was a great morning last Saturday to take my dog for a walk on the trails.

First time to the nature center and wow can't wait to return. All kinds of activities. Library drop a book take a book, zip line , playground for kids, and two ponds you can feed the fish. Of your an outdoor lover you really should walk these trails.
