Not sure where the bad reviews come from. I'm new to fly fishing and I went to the shop the other day to pick up some leaders/tippet for bass fishing. The guy at the counter was nothing short of awesome. He immediately struck up a conversation, was very helpful, offered great advice, and made some recommendations for me. Great shop, very well equipped, and super friendly staff.

Great Shop, super nice people. Came down out of Kentucky and stopped in to get a T-shirt, new copy of The Drake and grab a sticker or 2. I sat down and talked with the guys for a few minutes about the local fishing in Alabama. Very knowledgeable, polite and entertaining staff.

The best fly shop in the south PERIOD. Deep South has all of your fly fishing needs. The owner, Rob, is a a local treasure and has more fly fishing knowledge and more regional river knowledge than anyone else I have ever met. This is a beloved shop among the local fly fisherman. This place is awesome!

Fantastic store. I’m in town for work and had some time to kill this afternoon so stopped in. Super friendly staff!!! Their selection is fantastic and super helpful in finding some things I was looking for. One item I was looking for they didn’t have exactly what I was looking for - however they seriously hooked me up with the next closest at a killer deal!! If I’m ever back in town I will for sure be stopping in!

Be warned. Fly fishing only. Smug and condescending to casual or new outdoor lovers. I looked at the custom flys and it was was ridiculously overpriced. The guy at the counter was glued to the phone and when the call ended he wanted me out of there and recommended me to marks outdoors and academy. Thanks for sending my business elsewhere. Spent nearly $1000 at another store. Sorry
