Cynthia’s Dance Center is a great place to have children learn to love the art of dance. I have two daughters who started dancing with Cynthia at the ages of three and seven. She encouraged them with her skill and patience. They both danced all the way through college and carry the poise and gracefulness that I attribute to dance. I’m very grateful that I found Cynthia’s Dance Center when I moved to Sacramento. Thank you Cynthia for the wonderful example of teaching with kindness and building the self esteem of our children.

Cynthia is a fantastic dance instructor! Her professionalism, patience, and expertise is evident the minute you meet her. She has a natural ability to work with children of all ages. My kids love dancing at Cynthia's Dance Center.

Miss Cynthia really has a heart for what she does and it truly shows. My daughter has attended the school for five years from 9 to 14 years old. It was her first extracurricular activity ever. We heard about this dance school from a Groupon ad. Miss Cynthia is so sweet and picks great costumes and materials for the girls to wear. If you're looking for a great place to take your child or tween, consider making Miss Cynthias Dance School your next adventure❤️.

I have known Miss Cynthia for many years, as both my daughter and I have taken dance and/or acting classes from her. I am amazed at how much my daughter has grown as an actress, and her poise and public speaking skills have improved tremendously! I also loved taking dance classes there as an adult - Miss Cynthia is so patient with those of us who are still learning, and all of us in the class are having a great time. Cynthia's Dance Center is fantastic!

If you are an Indian don’t go there. She is a RACIST. My daughter is 2.5 year old and she was treating her so bad. She was very comfortable with the white kids. We had to walk out of the class in 10 min. She was fine if other kids walk around in the class, but if my daughter does, she was so irritated. I would give her a negative star if it had existed.

Don’t say I don’t know this person we were here today 02/24/2024. If you don’t have patience dealing with toddlers, stop signing them up. Who cares you are not the only dance teacher here in town.

Got invited there for a dance party for 7 girls ages 5-6. My daughter was feeling shy to join and the teacher came up, instead of acting warm and inviting told her you can just watch. I was just shocked. My daughter just stayed out so I decided it’s a dance party we either dance or leave so I walked with my daughter and told the teacher she is ready now, once again she tells me snd her it’s ok to just watch !!!!
Not a welcoming or pleasant experience at all. Definitely not going there for lessons or recommending it to anyone based on our experience there today

I haven't had any of the negative experiences listed above. Cynthia is very patient and fair with all the girls. Some girls may get more attention than others at certain times but no child is ever ignored . And I've seen girls are not focused at all and goofing around, she is always patient and kind with them To my understanding, there are 2 shows a year and that is normal for all dance studios. I drive to Folsom from citrus heights every week and I love the classes. She is fun, nice but strict enough to keep girls focusing. Very happy with this place.

I truly wish I could give this place zero stars. I have never been treated so horribly and seen others being treated even worse. If you are reading this, take this as a warning and take your business somewhere better. She could not care less about you as a person. You’re only a dollar sign to her and she treats you in such a way that makes it obvious. I had a family emergency preventing me from competing in her outdated and poorly ran pageant system and she didn’t offer a credit, refused to work with me, and even blocked my phone number. I didn’t want to let $200 go to waste to such a horrible person and business so I was stuck competing. Also if you notice, she never once apologizes to any of the low reviews and just makes excuses. She may seem nice and friendly but beware. She discriminates and even refused to let one of her reigning queens attend an event for absolutely no reason. She requires all of the parents to do the work and takes little to no part in organizing any events. I know several people who unfortunately worked with her and I have yet to hear any good words about her. The contestants said they weren’t allowed to be with queens from other (immensely better and more inclusive) pageant systems. The lack of inclusion and discrimination is the final straw for me. I may be out a lot of money but I refuse to have my name tied to an organization that she should be truly ashamed and embarrass of running.

Update: I will be taking her to court for breach of contract. She consistently cancels and changes the pageant date without consent.
