Tutoring with Ms. Pat is a great idea whether your child needs to catch up, maintain skills, or reach their full potential in reading, writing, handwriting, test prep (& more). Ms. Pat provides a safe, calm environment for children & she really knows her stuff! She does a great job at identifying their strengths and noting areas of growth with kindness. From a parent perspective: I trust that she is knowledgeable on grade-level expectations & how to approach or improve upon those skills in your child. From a child's perspective: My 6 year old looked forward to her tutoring sessions (never dreaded) and felt it was so fun to earn rewards and learn. We will likely visit her throughout our school year and summer sessions whether our kids "need" tutoring or not. It is always fun to learn with Ms. Pat 🙂

Dr. Pat has been working with our daughter (9 years old) to help build her reading skills for almost six months now and we have seen a tremendous amount of growth in her skills! I highly recommend Ms. Curry as a tutor. She is experienced, engaging and patient. My son is dyslexic/ADHD and struggles with reading. Coupled with assessing his skills and reviewing his most recent STAAR results, she was able to identify his areas of weakness. Over the course of several months, they worked on building his test taking skills as well as working through the STAAR questions he missed on the prior test. The tutoring sessions absolutely played a HUGE role as he finally passed the Reading STAAR this year after failing it for the past five years. I’m so glad we found her!
