Terrible daycare ! Lots of things happened here that are shady . The assistant director sits in infant room on phone all day . Director takes no accountability for staffs actions and tries to force former families to sign papers from her “attorney “ that families cannot do reviews , I contacted my attorney , that paper was not a legal document and you cannot legally do that !!! Place smells , it’s dirty . Teachers are lazy here , always sitting down and yelling at children . Idk how place is still open , it’s so gross . Glad my grandson is going to a clean facility, where no teachers ever raise their voices , children aren’t laying in bookshelves , makes lots of crafts and doesn’t smell ! Sam the assistant director is a snake , stole my granddaughters Girl Scout prizes and cookie money .

Absolutely horrible place to take your children I wouldn't recommend it. My son was repeatedly attacked by another child who was known to bully other kids. I was never told of any issues until my son told me while showing me his dried up bloody wound. No one there knew what happened between the kids but were quick to say the other child was on medication and they were working with him to reduce his aggressive behaviors. They could never tell me anything about any incident that happened thereafter either. They swept everything under the rug and ignored my attempts at figuring out a solution. Once I became an "issue" for them due to my repeated attempts at asking them why my child was had bruises, scratches, and screamed every morning that he was scared to go there, they decided to tell me my non violent child who has never had aggressive behavior is attacking other children and leaving Mark's on them. They however could not tell me how any incident took place. This happened for two weeks before I pulled him from their care. There is only one person watching a room full of children ages 4-12 and she is busy with the school aged kids showing them how to do their homework. She is NOT watching or paying any attention to the other children.

After several failed attempts to resolve my concerns of my child regularly coming home with diaper rash, diaper logs showing 4 hour gaps(state requires every 2), unexplainable when questioned and no written or verbal communication around bite marks, goose eggs, and bruises, with management I formally submitted my complaint to the state and withdrew my child. Manager let slip this isn’t the first time they have had neglect claims in her attempt to make me pay extra for not giving a 2 week notice. Would not recommend.

I have taken my kids to multiple daycares from Prescott, Prescott Valley to Chino Valley. When we moved to Chino Valley we needed a daycare that was closer to home. I went to every daycare in Chino and Cribs to Crayons was the best by far. The Daycare was very clean and organized, the staff are nice, informative, and very helpful, our kids love going there and always ask to go to daycare, the owner Chris has worked with us when money was tight. We have never had any problems with any of the teachers there. They have special events for holidays and just today had police officer come in and read books to the children. The office staff has always told us if one of our kids were hurt or had gotten in trouble. If one was sick or running a fever they would call us immediately. Other daycares that we had taken our kids to have left our daughter in wet and soiled diapers that caused rashes and chafing. But since going here our infant has not had a rash or chafing. I would recommend crib to crayons if your looking for a great daycare in the chino valley area.

My son just started today! It’s always difficult finding someone last minute when your babysitter falls through! They got him in super quick & were very welcoming! The hours are FANTASTIC! It fits our needs perfectly! Hard to find a place that opens as early as 6am also! Called to check up & see how his first day was & the staff seemed very sweet!
I loved the set up from what I’ve seen, feels like my little guy is just going to school which makes him super excited to start his day!
Also, difficult to find a place for newborns & as I am due soon & will be going back to work it takes a lot of the stress off already having that in place & figured out!
Will update my review after a couple weeks as well, but so far thinking it’s a great place for families to bring their children! 🙂
UPDATE*
As convenient as this place is, sometimes it’s just not worth it. We did come into a few issueS one morning.. what seemed to be the owner expected every parent to just put all of the kids in one room..all ages..UNSUPERVISED. It was our second day there & I had no clue where my son was supposed to go or put his lunch box & she sat there on the phone the ENTIRE TIME as another child maybe 2 years old tried bolting for the door because he wanted his mommy..she never noticed! & she was talking to a coworker on the phone not even with another parent who may take up all of her attention asking questions.. I tried to calm the little boy & help another boy take off his jacket & Calm my son while he kept repeating “he’s scared” all while trying to keep all the kids in Order so she could wrap up her phone call... but no! She was in no hurry to get off the phone nor did she have any clue what was going on & she was the only one there! I was like wth, I have to go to work!! There were children all ages left unattended in that room ! As little as 1 year old-maybe 6 as far as I could tell, & probably around 10 children at 6am!
ANOTHER THING THAT SEALED THE DEAL.
This lady was STILL ON THE PHONE, my son was crying because her demeanor scared him & my son reached for me to hold onto me so I wouldn’t leave & this lady GRIPPED HER HAND ONTO MY SONS FOREHEAD AS IF TO STIFF ARM HIM & literally stop him from hugging me. Right in front of me. I left & the lady was STILL on the phone. I panicked all day.. I called to check on him & the same lady said “oh he’s down for a nap” I replied with “oh okay” & she said “actually let me check” & then confirmed he was down for a nap. I feel this lady should NOT run a daycare, thankfully there are other/sweeter workers that come in later..but I have the WORST GUT feeling about this lady.! She just doesn’t seem to even care WHATSOEVER about how the children feel. I see right through her. My children are staying far away from her.

My daughter loves going here everyday. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating whenever I have special requests. Every time I have called to check on my daughter they take the time to check on her and make sure I don’t have any other questions. I feel great about leaving my daughter here everyday.
