Class was short and simple which is great and I liked. I recommend reading the book and cramsheet if you got it, before attending because it is such a short class and they do not review anything, it is expected that you already know it. Honestly, the only reason I passed was because of my past training in CPR, if I didn't have it I would have been lost, confused, and failed. Our instructor brought up god a couple of time which I don't understand how that pertained to the class. She gave us the written test without doing a quick review, when time was up she just took our sheets didn't give us a 2 min warning. When it came to the practical, again my past training saved me because she did not allow us to practice on the dummies first before we took the practical. I felt bad for the people that this was their first time taking this kind of class. I think more time and more by the book teachings would have been great! I took the American Heart Association BLS provider course here and had a great experience. Our instructor was knowledgeable, she had helpful corrections and advice, and added some humor that helped keep lessons memorable. 🙂

I took this class and while it was ok, I don’t think it was worth the $100 for the class (and cram sheet) and $17 for a ebook that we didn’t use. The instructor was very nice and knowledgeable but at times hard to hear and understand. The class was supposed to be 3 hours and we were done in a little over 2. I wished our instructor had done more hands on with the dummies before we were thrown into doing compressions etc. While the power point helped explain stuff, the hands on for proper technique is what counts. If I were to recommend someone to take the class, I would tell them not to spend the extra on the cram and don’t bother buying the book. Plus you do the first aid part of the class online either before the class or after. Something I had to call and ask about because the website doesn’t really do a good job of explaining everything.
