I have been to this book store more than a handful of times and I have always walked out with a book (or two!) There's a good selection of new recent books in every genre and age range, plus a room of used fiction books. You can also get store credit for your good condition fiction books. I love that we have such a great book store in Monument!

This is a great bookstore. Staff are super friendly and helpful. And, they have most everything.

It wasn't crowded and check out was fast.

We parked close by...it was an easy walk to the store.

Great small town bookstore in a classic Monument building. Obviously, there aren't gazillions of titles here, but lots of local hiking and trail books. Definitely worth a stop on a lazy afternoon.

Such a lovely indie bookstore with a great selection of books, new & used as well as fun gifts for everyone. If they don't have a book you are looking for make sure to ask, I ordered a book and it arrived in store much faster than I had expected. 🥳

Small bookstore that has been around for a while! I liked their local selection and hiking resources were front and center. Lots of kids books as well! Not as many that caught my eye, but came out with some books for me kiddo.

It's *VERY* curated, almost sterilely so. Whenever I walk into a local book store I want to feel like I'm going to discover something awesome, and yes, have an organized system, but also have a certain level of casual ambiance. While I was there I felt like I would get "the look" if I or my child accidentally knocked something over.

If you've been to Poor Richards' downtown COS you'll know what vibe I'm talking about that I wish Covered Treasures had: A good representation of all walks of life and interests, more shelves to get lost in. I felt like I was in someone's personal collection of what the feel is popular and/or relevant. Now, I'm sure since they've been there a while, they know their regulars and what they like, so if it's working for them, kudos! But I'll probably not be back. The place feels like a time-warp back to the 90s. This is someone who has grown up around books and worked in libraries, so if you're a fellow bookish person, I'd say it's worth the one-time visit to decide for yourself.

Lovely little local bookshop with a small but thoughtfully curated collection of new and discounted books. What they don’t have in stock they can order for you. They were very quick to provide some suggestions based on my interests. As an added bonus - they’re in a historical building and walkable from the nearby bars and restaurants! Great place to stop at while you’re in Monument.

I love this little nook in Old Town Monument with it's cozy feel, sweet staff, and quality selection of books. My favorite amenity of the store is the used book room where you may browse through lots of quality titles knowing you're not going to have to pay much for what you find. The owners are kind enough to let my little Chihuahua accompany me. He's a service dog and I wouldn't be able to get out much without him, so thanks ladies!

It always feels good to support local businesses, especially bookstores.
Shopping local is good for the local economy, and it allows small business owners to thrive. Plus, these independent shops keep the neighborhood unique and surprising - unlike those big chains that homogenize everything. So, if you love books and want to support local business, Covered Treasures is for you!
