My wife and I had full day group lesson. There was only one student in the group, it felt like private lesson. Good instructions and communications by our instructor. We really enjoyed our time learning how to ski for the first time. One thing to be improved is for full day lesson 1 hr lunch break should not count towards the lesson time.

They're really bad at instructing you to get started with lessons. I arrived on the bus, ask "do I need any credentials for lessons" they said NO, only kids do. UM WHAT!? so I go out to the lesson area with flags surrounding near kokomo. The instructors are like yea you need creds obviously. So I got RIGHT BACK down there to the same people. Unbelievable. Then the instructor is some really old lady who can barely walk correctly, and shes begging for tips. Like some guy tipped her 25% which is 50 dollars. We already paid $220 for lessons, I think the tip is built in. And it wasn't that great of lessons either. Especially sketchy because its just this grandma's own personal venmo account. Wasn't very professional and she was truly begging for a large tip. Never doing lessons here again.

Editing- my husband talked to the school at the West Village and they made good on their customer service and gave us a refund. We will likely be back when it isn’t so busy.

We are disappointed in the quality of the lessons, our son spent most of the day waiting on his butt. He went down the little hill 4 times. My husband watched for an entire hour at the end of the day and only got to see him go down once. He was so bored. He begged us not to make him do the lessons again, so we went straight to cancel and of course they denied us a refund for the next day. They are so over crowded, it was so disappointing. We have done lessons for our children at other mountains with no complaints. Very sad in how this was.

The instructor Mark was great! Very attuned and let us know what we were doing wrong. Would highly recommend him. 10/10

The check in however…not so much. Received a confirmation to check in at 9:30, when i arrived the lady told me she didn’t see my reservation anywhere. I continually told her that i had a confirmation and showed her the confirmations but she kept stonewalling me and insisted that i had no reservation what so ever even though it was scheduled the night before with a confirmation text.

After 20 minutes of this lady being incredibly unhelpful and me having to explain to her over and over again that the class was scheduled last night she finally found the reservation, not sure what the confusion was. She made some lame excuse…

Probably some of the worst customer experience i have encountered. Was not trying to help me what so ever and kept insisting that were absolutely nothing she could do for me.

I understand errors happen and that’s ok, but the way the lady was treating me and how unhelpful she was (especially when there was no line behind me) really ruined my experience.

Lord help anyone who has to encounter this lady.

We had an all day ski instructor, Alex, for our family of four. The check in instructions weren’t clear which delayed start. The instructor was not a good communicator and we found the quality of his instruction below average (this assessment was based on listening to other instructors in the area). He was hard to hear and couldn’t effectively explain basic skills to novice skiers. Out of force of habit, I tipped him generously at the end of the day despite having advanced very little in our knowledge over the course of 8 hours together and suffering through subpar interactions. To add insult to injury, we saw him the next day on the lifts (first time we tried going on the lifts to what ended up being a course that was far to advanced for us) and the instructor didn’t acknowledge us nor advice us against going up to the course we were headed. Overall my largest disappointment was the lack of thoughtful instruction and guidance on what to work on the next day (including what courses we should target first). I wouldn’t recommend this ski school based on my experience and would certainly not recommend my instructor.

Aleah Martinez was absolutely amazing!!! If we ever return to Copper Mountain we'll definitely request her. We were late to our family ski lesson and they were extremely patient. Can't recommend Aleah highly enough!

We were told to come to the ski school at 8:00. We get there and get her stuff fitted and they tell us they’re starting at 9:00, then when we go out there they say they’re not going to be ready till 9:30. I was expecting a lot more organization and communication from staff but they literally all told us different things. I would think twice before spending almost $500 for a program run by amateurs.

Special kudos to Tabitha Bower for our wonderful private 3-day lesson with me and my 2 kiddos. Tabi has a unique set of skills working with small children and the patience of a saint. Our experience at Copper and Tabi will have us coming back sooner than later. Thanks Tabi!
