I attended the 16 hour Illinois CCW class in Crystal Lake this past weekend. The instructor was Dave Mogdans. Dave was extremely knowledgeable and personable and he made the class enjoyable. I learned things that will help me be a better concealed carrier. I will definitely seek out CYA for the renewal class in five years.

After 5 years we went back to Condition Yellow Academy to renew our concealed carry permit and we were very happy with how smooth the process was. We went for the shooting test then had the class room session sent in the paperwork online to the state and we were renewed. It was very easy and fast. Myself and my wife went for the Illinois Concealed Carry Class and found all the instructors very friendly and interesting and very willing to help with shooting techniques. 16 hours is a long course but Jake, Pete, and Steve made the course interesting and fun. We will definitely be taking additional training classes from them.

i took the advance rifle class with instructor steve watson and it was better than i expected, great experience and the range was perfect for the type of training we did and the instructor new his stuff and i will be taken all their future classes for sure

I wouldn’t trust these guys to build my lunch-able. Today I went to add a new accessory to my handrail when I noticed this catastrophe. I had these guys stake my buffer tube castle nut and re-torque my barrel a few months back at their McHenry location and it seems over torquing the hand guard screws is easily fixed with two minute epoxy. Great stuff guys; it’s no wonder the McHenry location is shut down.

I recently attended CYA's advanced CCW class. This is the second class I have taken with them. I can't say enough positive things about my experience. The instructors Steve and Allison are knowledgeable and always take the time to make sure the participants understand what is being presented. The environment is both safe and fun. I highly recommend their classes.

This past weekend my brother and I participated in the 16 hour Concealed Carry class (two 8 hour days)

The class went very smooth. It was easy to follow along with the instructors and they were open to the many questions asked, whether it was about operation of a firearm or down to the details of the many laws surrounding concealed carry. Steve, Jake, Peter, and Allison were all at the Arlington Heights location both days of class and were all fantastic to speak/work with. They do they’re jobs greatly with a smile on their face which sadly isn’t so common nowadays.
The overall experience was unbelievable and I will continue taking future classes with Condition Yellow. Highly recommend to everyone!

These are good guys and even better teachers. I took the CCW course and was very impressed with the amount of knowledge the teachers had. They are very professional and seem to really care about everyone getting as much as they can out of the class. It was long hours but they make it comfortably for you with big desks, a sufficient number of breaks, complimentary coffee, and very relaxing leather chairs. I live 45 minutes away but I'm glad I chose Condition Yellow Academy. It was such a pleasant experience, I plan to take more classes in the future.

I considered a few different places for training and glad I chose Condition Yellow Academy. They are conveniently tucked just 2 minutes off highway 53 which makes it easy to get to no matter where you are coming from. They chose a good area to do business (I didnt want to feel like I needed my side arm to get to my car) and they keep the place very clean. The classes are relatively small so the instructor to student ration is quite favorable. Steve and Brian bring a lot to the table and no matter what your experience level is, you will continue to learn as long as you are listening. As instructors they do an excellent job keeping each session interactive and on track. Before you know it, its done and you are looking for the next level of training. It took me a while to get around to taking this class. It wont take me near as long to take my next. Finally, where most places like this are outrageously priced, you wont find it cheaper on Amazon. Use these guys and buy your stuff from them. You wont go wrong with Condition Yellow! 5 Stars!
