My PCM wrote a referral here for a pediatric nutritionist and sent it back in December 2023. We moved and never made it so I called on August 27 2024 to see if the referral was still in the system. I was told it wasn’t so I called my PCM and they resent the referral on the 27th. Called the next day and was told a different department uploads faxed referrals and give it till the end of the next week. I call at the end of the following week and it’s still not uploaded. I call again two weeks later and it’s still not there. I called again today after 3 weeks and no referral. The woman who answers these calls is also extremely rude and unhelpful. Every call ended with a basic “it’s not in so I can’t help”. Idk what system is in place but it’s clearly a failure if 3 weeks go by and a faxed referral can’t be uploaded into the system. Happily taking my daughter up the Children’s even though it’s a drive. I didn’t even want to be a patient here after the attitude of the woman on the phone and the inability to process a referral in timely manner.

Never send a boy to do a man's job, NEVER send a PA to do a doctor's job! Think about it, why would you want a PA to work on you? The lesson learned here is go with a doctor NOT A PA! It's your health you choose is it going to be a PA or a doctor?

I came into this urgent care a couple of weeks after experiencing a crush injury. I came in because of a skin rupture and weeping. The first time I arrived, the nurse who was assigned to me was deeply dismissive and incredibly arrogant. She didn’t bother to ask any questions, but aggressively poked at my very inflamed injury, told me to put Vaseline on it and sent me on my way. 2 or 3 days later I returned when the wound was worsening. Unfortunately, I had the same nurse again, much to my chagrin. She was slightly more attentive, and acknowledged that I “might” have an infection even though the wound was starting to smell. She told me “IF it gets worse, go to the er” she also said, “they’ll probably have to open it up and that I’d need skin grafts to close the wound.”
I showed up the second time because it DID get worse and she was again of little help. Although she did take a culture that time. I decided on my own not to wait and go to the er immediately thereafter and sure enough had a raging infection that was met with emergency surgery. Looking back I’m pretty baffled that a trained medical professional didn’t spot the signs of deep infection and tell me to IMMEDIATELY go to ER the first time. Bed side manner was horrendous. The only saving grace was from an assistant who shared her own story of a similar experience that offered some hope and compassion. But the nurse, Anne Marie, get it together lady, your dismissiveness caused harm. When vulnerable patients arrive for care or direction, maybe slow your roll and take some more time to take a deeper look. I’ll never go back to that location.

Got in, got educated and left with a working insulin pump. Everything went very smoothly. Great follow up easy to get into the office easy to schedule appointments, not like other doctor's offices I've dealt with. When you call and leave a message you actually get a call back. The follow-up appointment taught me how better to utilize my pump and the bolus program with regard to it being a correction bolus or just simply a carbohydrate intake bolus. I don't chart that stuff or pay attention to it very well but the doctor does a great job with that. Highly recommended! And I'm kind of a tough customer.
