We have been bringing our kids to Mrs. Betsy at the Clegg Education group for nearly two years now and it has been the best experience. We have three kids about two years apart, starting at 6 years of age. Our oldest started working with Mrs. Betsy when she was 4 years old. Now our middle child just turn four and Mrs. Betsy was gracious enough to add him to her schedule. Our goal for when our youngest one turns 4 in two years is that he will also be taught by Mrs. Betsy. She has now become a part of our family.

Going into this we wanted our kids to have a leg up as they move from daycare to kindergarten and elementary school particularly with their reading and math and the feed back from their private school teachers has been excellent and I would credit most of their scholastic success to Mrs. Betsy. It truly takes a village and we are so thankful to Mrs. Betsy for being part of our crazy bunch. Needless to say, she comes highly recommended.

Betsy tutored my grandson for approximately 3 years. She began tutoring him the summer before he was scheduled to repeat Kindergarten. After 4 years of schooling; two years of kindergarten, first and second grade my grandson was still not reading at grade level. Betsy guided us through the whole process to finally get the school to test him (once in Kindergarten and again in second grade). She knows how to word letters to the school that basically give the school no choice; they have to test the student. Even after two rounds of testing they made only minor modifications, having two teachers in the classroom. What my grandson needed was an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and his school seemed very reluctant to proactively recommend this program. Betsy participated in at least two parent teacher conferences and again provided the verbiage needed for my son and daughter-in-law to make the case for an IEP. She also spoke up to help clarify and reinforce their position that my grandson needed more than the school was providing. He needed an individualized plan that documented what the school was going to do to teach him and how effectively their plan was working.
Betsy has been such an asset as my family struggled year after year to get school administrators to recognize and agree that my grandson has some form of a learning disability.
Betsy doesn’t just sit on the sidelines. She will be an advocate for your child. After 4 years the school administrators finally agreed my grandson needed an IEP. I can truthfully say that without Betsy’s knowledge of how to effectively communicate with school administrators and her tenacity we would not have been successful in getting the school to agree that an IEP was absolutely necessary.

Clegg Education Group is wonderful. This is our second year with Spanish and Math tutoring. Antonieta the Spanish tutor is fabulous and always provides addition practice documents and quizlets. Danielle is our math tutor and she does a wonderful job explaining everything on my daughter’s level and making it easy for her to understand. This is the first year my daughter has excelled in Math and Danielle has really helped boost her confidence in math. Both tutors have flexible scheduling.
