Good experience at the school, but this is not setting you up for a good future if you have to take out a private loan. Sallie Mae is a scam, and Centriq isn't a Title IV institution, so you get zero benefits or ability to refinance or get tax benefits. I appreciate the education I got here and the opportunities that opened up, but DO NOT TAKE OUT LOANS TO GO HERE!!! It is a huge burden that's going to follow me around for a decade.

Not worth the money.

Trainers were good. Skimmed through every topic and hardly got anything down besides the basic things because they could not go too in depth, not the trainers fault. No one in my class or class before has taken any of the certs that you pay tons of money for because we were not knowledgeable enough. Poor LinkedIn page, poor job placement after graduation (spent months trying to get an IT job, didn’t get 1 interview, now working a non IT job). It’s a decent place for people with zero IT experience to learn the absolute basics but should you really be paying $24k for that. No chance. You get a nice computer with an admin account that they don’t take off and a backpack though!

TL:DR $$$ not equal to content delivered.
Instructors were best part. Not their fault about content.

(Stl site, IT cloud sec. course)
I took the It and cloud security course, and it was a good overview of all the topics one might need to know in IT. However, for the price tag, not worth it. All of the typos in the course content, an overinflated resume that gets written up, poor LinkedIN page development (finding out about this post graduation) and lack of truly becoming proficient in one skill is disappointing. They include the costs of tests ($500 for one of them) in tuition fee, but do not ensure all of the information is retained to pass it. Out of my cohort no one has taken it yet do to lack of knowledge to pass, and only one other is planning on taking it at sometime. In the cohort before me, I reached out and none of them have taken it yet either. You have to spend weeks studying on your own past graduation to take the test successfully (assuming no prior knowledge in IT). On the plus side, they give you a computer. On the down side, they install an administrative account on it that you can't remove and do not clean it off before you leave. I have gotten much better education and support from a secondary boot camp for a third of the cost of Centriq. I'm saying don't go there, but I am saying that you can find all the same material online for cheap to free. Also, be prepared for your first job to be around $19/hr for a long time after graduating, so if you are taking a major pay cut, double think.

Centriq Training is a great place to learn new IT skills! I've been a student there many times, and always felt like they had great customer service and the instructors are very knowledgeable.

My experience at (PKS) was one to remember. They offered free doughnut's, coffee, water and also had a convenient balcony with table and chairs that accompanied the second floor to say the least. The most memorable thing was how well Mr. Peter Hand knew his stuff. He explained everything in detail before you could ask as if he knew what you were going to ask. It was a great 3 day course and I can't wait to attend my next course.

I class I took was Comptia Strata: Intro to IT Fundamentals

As far as licensing test locations go, this one is pretty great. The computer room is clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
