The Parent Programs are great and provide you things you need. Depending on your status in life or background they kind of change their attitude quickly and the meetings are not the same.

Don’t even bother with this place as they usually never have funds but somehow can fund their staff salary. The staff at this place treat you as an inconvenience. This place detailed they offered assistance in emergency funds but then detail require people to take classes for managing finances when the class is not only not needed but this so called class required you to take time off the day and impacts you even more. I was told I would be called in couple day and never happened and when I called back the staff started to hedge their prior statements and when I canceled my application ingot a call back shortly detailing my application wouldn’t be accepted due to income which the place does not list or detail in any way so again don’t waste your time on this place and I hope this place gets audited by state and feds.

Everyone there is helpful and they have lots of resources available for the community. I will say that prior to having been referred there, I struggled with accessing those resources, but once you're referred and involved you're set. I was able to get help with my rent, a job through the Rehire program, attending the Getting Ahead class, and Christmas gifts for my girls.

I called a couple of times in order to get my question answered. The receptionist as well as the lady that called in response to my application were very rude. It was as though they either didn't have the time to respond, were bothered by my asking questions or simply didn't want to respond. Definitely got the feeling of being placed "below" in reaching out for an answer.

Trust me ladies, it's already a humbling and difficult task to even ask for help at any point in my life. However, I'd like to think that given the current worldly events you'd be able to find it in you to be a little kinder... A little warmer. Under no circumstances is it ever okay to not even see a human being period but to not try to even listen to them in a time of need is truly beyond me.
