Went up on a Saturday just after a light snow. We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves for several hours. Beautiful location, close to town, lots of hiking and nature trails to explore. With a $29 state park pass with your vehicle registration, you can't beat it!

I have been hiking here for years. Gorgeous views of Pikes Peak when it is clear and access to water makes it fun for the dogs. Trails can be steep, full of ice, and muddy so bring appropriate footwear!

This is a beautiful park with lots of different trails. There are trails that go along the water, into the rocks, into open space, and along the canyon. I like the variation in trails and love that it is friendly to different skill levels!

The canyon view from the dock is good although there is little water in the canyon as compared to the earlier times. The sedimentary rocks one over the other look very beautiful. It’s really a good place of trail lovers and hikers.

Our first time here. What a wonderful walking experience. I had no idea something this amazing is this close to Denver. My suggestion is to be more clear about a daily pass that can be purchased at the entrance. Well maintained trails and picnic tables. Thanks CPW!

We came to the park about 8am on Sunday. The trails are obviously snow covered but there were definitely tracks and people out enjoying! The road was manicured well. We took the creekside trail to the rim loop and it was a decent work out especially in the snow!

Lovely park. Can start your hike at either end and loop by using the rim and creek trails.

Creek is currently flooded with icy slush at the bottom of the Inner Canyon Trail on the east side

Visitor’s center was informative and had fun merch, too! Trail was well marked but definitely need spikes for icy winter hikes (we went in December).
