From tears to cheers! I went to this class absolutely terrified of guns, but having recently purchased a property in the middle of the woods and having large cat tracks on said property, I knew that I needed to know how to handle a weapon.
Jenna was recommended to me by a friend, and I am so very grateful that I reached out to her.
At first, I was taken aback by some of the safety conversation which had me in a state of near panic, but she had me take a deep breath and we started with a solid plastic training gun and went into depth on the basics until I had the basics down before moving onto unloaded, and then finally loaded. She took her time and was patient with me. After we found what I was comfortable with, we took some time to work on how to aim, and some tips to improve my groupings and such.
I told my boyfriend before I went to the class that I would learn, but likely would have no interest in shooting again. Now we're discussing when we're going to go shooting with the gun that I liked. I thought that this would be 2 hours of torture, but by the end I found that I was enjoying myself.
If you are apprehensive about using a gun, I would encourage you to book some lessons with Jenna. She was absolutely amazing, and she helped me face one of my biggest fears with so much patience and grace, and had so much enthusiasm for me when I did well.

Great educational experience for newbies and enthusiasts alike. My fiancé was really interested in firearms, and when we moved to Colorado he purchased a rifle and 9mm handgun. I was nervous about the experience, but having guns in the house I wanted to understand all of the safety implications. We first took the Concealed Handgun class with Jeff, and then later we both took courses on the handgun and rifle. Not only do I feel much more confident in the safety of the firearms, but Jeff and Jenna both made me feel excited and confident in using them myself. The classes all focused on safety first, and then expanded into more detailed handling of the guns. Jeff and Jenna were both very experienced and knowledgeable, and allowed the classes to progress at the student's pace. Highly recommended for experienced shooters as well as people new (and nervous!) about it. Our future training plans will include additional, more advanced courses with them.

My fiance and I as first time gun owners were recommended to Carry On Colorado by the store where we bought our guns. We were clear at the time that we were interested in instructors who would prioritize safety training and were friendly for newbies, as well as get us on the road to being prepared for more advanced training down the road. We could not have asked for a better set of instructors than Jeff and Jenna.

We had our first class during the height of the covid situation and they were willing to accommodate any of our safety concerns. We did follow up with two "at the range" classes focused on pistol and rifle respectively that were both fun and very instructional. I have felt far more prepared at the range, and my confidence in handling and carrying my firearms has increased significantly.

My wife and I took the level 1 classroom and range class with Jenna and Jeff. We knew next to nothing about firearm safety before taking the class. Both the range and classroom were excellent - we learned a ton, and they were fun. Jenna and Jeff are excellent instructors - no such thing as "dumb" questions. My goal was to learn how to safely handle a gun for home protection. I feel completely confident now and can't wait to take additional classes at Carry On!

Great instructors. These guys are incredibly customer focused. They went out of their way to accommodate my schedule and work with me. The range time I had with Carry on Colorado was extensive and rewarding. Most comfortable time I have had receiving training and refresher training.

Jenna and Jeff are some of the best people you will ever meet! This is a great place to learn especially if you're new to guns or if you're trying to increase your skill. The friendly atmosphere and smaller class sizes set you at ease so you can learn without the Macho Man showboating I've experienced elsewhere. Jenna is especially skilled at helping people get comfortable with concealed carry, and they both are always happy and willing to answer any questions you may have. Check them out!

I've been to two of their classes and I have taken private classes from Jeff. The two owners Jeff and Jenna are very nice and knowledgeable, and down to earth. Carry on is a great place to consider taking your first gun class or intro to fire arms (particularly the AR platform).

My first class with Jeff and Jenna was just after getting my CWP from Denver four years ago. Frankly, it was scary how little was required to get that, and how unprepared I was to safely handle and carry a deadly weapon. Every class with them was invaluable. They provided a wealth of information that built my confidence from ground zero. Because of them I was able to benefit from training with Kathy Jackson and Massad Ayoob, two of the most highly regarded instructors in the business. Jeff and Jenna are knowledgeable and enthusiastic teachers who really enjoy what they do. In the classroom or on the range, they are as good as you can find. They have my highest recommendation.
