I joined the CHAC Veterinary Assistant program in October of 2024, and I'm coming up on my final months getting ready for my externship. Ms. Garcia is the night instructor for the VA program and has had an incredible impact on my learning journey. She has ensured that her students understand and can perform the material we are learning. Her lessons are organized, and if any questions pop up, they are answered in a way the student can specifically understand. She also shares her experience that she's had within the field and gives all the knowledge she obtained. Tutoring is always an option and can be scheduled weekly. Ms. Garcia grows a connection with her students and makes the classroom a safe place. We all know that mistakes can happen, and we are all learning this line of work together because she makes the classroom comfortable.

I have a couple of experiences that I've had with Ms. Garcia that have helped me grow in this career path. One of which was my fear of blood. I'm very squeamish to the sight of blood, but being an assistant working with blood can be a day-to-day job. In the Advanced modules, you can draw blood on a pet to practice before externship. Ms. Garcia spoke with me on ways to cope and one day overcome the fear. When other students would be drawing blood, she would be mindful of me and ask if I was okay or if I needed a chair due to my first experience seeing one. I almost fainted. She would have me watch, little by little, other students do their blood draws and give me exposure to the idea. Anyways, she worked with me for about a month till I was finally able to draw blood from my pup Molly. I've now performed about 3 blood draws with complete success. I'm not completely over the fear, but with Ms. Garcia's help, I was able to knock down the first couple of barriers.
She makes learning in the classroom fun, everyone can work on something and improve on what they need to. Like I said, her lessons are very organized, and she puts a lot of planning and coordination into the week of lessons. You can tell she cares for her students' education and is dedicated to teaching us.

I'm a student in the Veterinary Assistant Program and have had great experiences.
Ms. Garcia, our lab instructor, is dedicated and compassionate, ensuring we understand everything.Her hands-on teaching helps us learn practical skills like administering vaccines and microchipping. She also guides us toward growth opportunities, such as volunteering at a local dog rescue. The program includes field trips that enhance our learning and prepare us for real-world situations.

I am currently on my last weeks in the veterinary assistant program before I move on to externship, throughout these months, my lab instructor, Ms. Garcia always makes sure her students are getting the best training and knowledge they can. It is very clear Ms. Garcia cares deeply for her students success. Ms. Garcia always makes sure her students understand what she is teaching and will not hesitate to explain more than once. Overall Ms. Garcia provides a safe, meaningful, and positive environment that makes me look forward to lab days. Ms. Garcia has provided amazing opportunities for her students, I am grateful to have an amazing lab instructor! I have learned so much at CHAC, Im glad I was able to find a school that allowed me to work so closely with my passion.

If you are considering attending this school definitely do so, with the amazing staff to the instructors this was truly a blessing to attend. As a graduating student I was satisfied with my education here, everyday was something new to learn, always keeping us on our toes. The stories to tell and experiences I couldn't ask for more.

I came to this school to be a vet assistant.. my journey here was very encouraging and motivating! Ms. G is an awesome and cool person! She taught me well! I made many friends here; overall better than regular college in my opinion! I thought this school was very sketchy at first because of how fast paced they were on signing me up but trust me it is not fake.. it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity!

I am currently Enrolled In The VA pm Chac program.
This school is hybrid Online 2x a week & in person 2x a week. It is very beneficial for those who work full time. They offer Am and pm classes. Tuition is pricey for the program..
Better equipment is much appreciated, Field trips should be free or Even suggest Everyone meeting at the school and driving a van to the trip. More improvement within the Administration office. They all seem like they just want to get your money . For 17k I’d appreciate the school to do more for the student’s.

My instructor Ms.Garcia makes the Class atmosphere feel very welcoming. She is very informative, does different teaching techniques to make sure everyone is on the same page and no one’s left behind. She takes time to answer your questions, helps you better understand how to do things a certain way that you can comprehend.
Ms.Garcias Sweet demeanor makes you feel comfortable to ask questions. Assuring that each of her students are on the same page and keeping track with the lectures.
Ms. Garcia also makes me feel good about my self and the class just makes me want to strive to learn more. The work is not overwhelming, easy flowing and educational.
My instructor is by far the best teacher I’ve had. Always Bright and positive speaks in clear sentences and the best feeling I get is being recognized by her making sure I’m on the same page. She gives her undivided attention to each & every student.

CHAC was a great institution. The staff and instructors were always available for support and guidance. I recommend this school to anyone who is not sure about what route they want to take but is sure that they want to further their education at an institution that is full off hands on activity, encouragement and support.

So far I've loved my experience with CHAC! They quickly helped me every step of the way to enroll. Ms. Cynthia Garcia has been my onsite Veterinary Assistant professor and she goes above and beyond to help us advance in our careers. She gets creative with our classes, creates fun role plays and games, and even directs us to helpful volunteering stations! She really cares about our futures. She has encouraged me to learn and build the confidence to withdraw blood, properly restraint pets, express anal glands, do nail trims, and even vaccinate pets! I still have more to learn as I have not finished the course but I am happy to have someone so educated and understanding teaching us. The whole environment at CHAC is so positive, from the staff to students, I'm glad I ended up here!
