This place is nice if you want to take a walk or jump in the water.I've seen some kids using a rope to jump in. Looked pretty cool. But my family and I enjoyed ourselves

We’ve gone here for swimming in the Cahaba and hiking. There is off street parking. The walking trail is pretty easy, with a steep grade to get down to the trail from the parking lot and steep trails to get down to the river. The trail doesn’t offer much of a view of the river, mostly of trees and tons of privet. There are a few picnic tables and trash cans.

This is our family's favorite swimming spot. Great walking trails and absolutely breathtaking. The water AKA Cahaba River is so beautiful and peaceful. There are a couple rope swings that my husband and my kids love to jump off of and everyone there is so polite. It's kid friendly and dog friendly. And the police come down there and check regularly for safety and they also pick up trash regularly. There's also a picnic table with a grill. Lots of people put their kayak or canoe in the waters High Enough and the best part is it's free and fun!πŸ”†πŸ‘¦πŸ’‘πŸ‘¬πŸ‘πŸ‘ͺπŸ‘«β€πŸ’™πŸ’•βœŒπŸ•πŸ©πŸπŸ πŸ πŸ πŸ›πŸŒΉπŸŒ»πŸŒΈπŸƒπŸŒ…

Great place to get to the Cahaba. The parking area fills up pretty quickly and unfortunately not all users pay attention and often you can find cars that are blocked in. The path to the Cahaba is concrete, well maintained but quite steep. Not all visitors pay attention to posted signs and you might find a group with a grill at the landing site making it a bit awkward to get a 17' canoe in or out. Before you are looking for a swimming hole or place to put your lawn chair in the Cahaba, check the swim guide that is maintained by the Cahaba Riverkeeper to get an idea about the load of coliform bacteria in the water. Please avoid glass bottles and please leave no trace. The Cahaba is a wonderful, recreational resource, enjoy it but please don't spoil it.

East river access, beautiful scenery and partially paved and gravel path for hiking. As well as worn foot paths through the woods. Kayak/canoe launch close to parking area. Several areas to relax and cool off in the river. Picnic tables and trash cans along main trail.
