We couldn't be happier with Bright Horizons at Northbrook. We have had at least one, if not two, children at the center every year for the last eight years.

From the administration, to the teachers and the support staff, we've always felt that our children are safe, encouraged, and appropriately challenged. The chef-made meals, enrichment activities, and parental engagement is top tier. It's a wonderful community and they work well to partner with you in caring for your child(ren).

Our third child will graduate in two years and it'll be a very sad day when BH at Northbrook isn't in our lives anymore!

We started our daughter here in the infant room when she was 7 months old. It’s been a little over a year and has since moved up to toddlers. We couldn’t be more grateful for Bright Horizons knowing she is in a safe place with the most caring teachers. They supported us during the hard transition of leaving your infant in someone else’s care and through some of the big milestones that come in the first year of life. We are so thankful for Ody, Ivanna, America, Courtney, Anna, Dina, Sarah, Devyn, Kim, Linda and the entire amazing staff who has been there along the way!

We’ve been with the center since 2018 and have had our 2 boys here in all class levels. We’ve always been very happy and especially love the low level of staff turnover. My preschooler has the same teacher that my now 1st grader had when he was that age. The teachers do a great job of engaging the children, encouraging independence, communicating with parents, and ultimately preparing the kids for kindergarten!

I cannot day enough great things about Bright Horizons! Our children have been in the young preschool, preschool, and kindergarten prep classrooms, and every teacher has been fabulous. They are always changing up the activities and making learning fun. It is a great balance of playtime and academics, all in a nurturing environment. There are special activities like yoga, dance, and Spanish lessons, along with plenty of playtime inside and outdoors. Chef Dan cooks delicious and healthy food for the children daily - breakfast, lunch, snack, and there is even a snack to go in the lobby. The communication is top notch, with pictures, potty, and meal updates all sent each day through an app. At drop off and pick up, the front desk staff and teachers are always friendly and provide an update about the day. All of the families we've met are super friendly, and my kids often don't want to leave when it's time to go home. As a teacher myself, I can confidently say that my children will be more than prepared for kindergarten thanks to Bright Horizons.

After researching and almost trying different day care centres, we ended up with Bright Horizons at Northbrook. That turned out to be the best decision we took! They(Miss Daniel Center - previous director and Miss Carrie- Current director) took the time and patience to transition our son from infant to toddler and we didn't have any issues with that. Miss Sam ,Miss Erica, Miss Bonnie are the best they helped my son through infant class room.The staff(Miss Kristen,Miss Tracy) are very friendly, always willing to hear our concerns and suggestions if any (we hardly have them). Miss Lorrie, Miss Halima, Miss Mitchell and all the resource teachers took good care of my son in toddler class room
Happy to see our son well adjusted and also, having fun with teachers and other kids. Chef Dan cooks amazing food for the kids and my son has improved a lot with the variety of foods.

Bright Horizons Northbrook has very friendly staff that exceed expectations in terms of communication with parents. The curriculum is very stimulating and we feel confident that our child will be very well prepared for Kindergarten. There are always several activities going on in the classroom with little repetition. The teachers excel at drawing out the best ideas and curiosity from the children. They excel at conflict resolution and ensuring all the children are happy and having fun. The facility is very clean, which is also a plus. The meal options and preparation are also very impressive.

Choosing Bright Horizons at Northbrook for my son's child care and school has been the best decision we could have made. The entire staff is great with the kids, always have smiles on their faces, and would do anything necessary for the kids.

Our son started in the Infant Rooms. We felt completely comfortable leaving our son from day 1, at 12 weeks of age. He was very well taken care of and started learning new things from the very beginning! The teachers find creative ways to engage and stimulate all ages in the infant room. We left the infant room walking, starting to talk, and as a good eater using sippy cups and utensils.

In the Toddler Room our son has grown exponentially! He has a fantastic vocabulary, knows his colors, can count, so many animals, body parts, etc. Every day he comes home with some new words. He also follows directions and is learning how to share with others, help his teachers, and clean up after himself. His toddler teachers are great, so involved in the kids activities, always excited to see him daily, and find joy in his successes. We recently just got through the "pushing" stage, and so much of the teaching came from his teachers at Bright Horizons. They helped my son use his words to communicate instead of pushing to get his way. We are so thankful for their help in raising our child!

We see Bright Horizons as our second family and can't imagine taking our son anywhere else.

Both my kids are enrolled at this center (full time, 5x p/week) and have been attending for approximately 8 months. Overall the experience has been positive and we're glad we chose Bright Horizons after doing somewhat extensive research and visits with other centers in the area. Our kids seem to enjoy the activities and teachers and have made friends along the way. They've definitely learned classroom structure and will likely be very prepared for Kindergarten. What we as parents really appreciate are the facility (very new, well designed, child appropriate) and the staff (young, energetic, genuine). Though all the teachers are great, a special shout out to Ms. Jennifer in infant room and Ms. Katie and Mr. Lucas in Pre-K ... our kids have/had a special affinity for them. On our wish list though is the ability to pay tuition via credit card ... which is more a corporate issue than center specific.
