After a less than ideal experience at a previous daycare facility, I was very hesitant and nervous to enroll my daughter in another program, but I am so thankful we found Bright Haven. My interactions with the staff and teachers are always pleasant and the teachers really engage with their students. My toddler has gone to Bright Haven for 3 months and comes back from school talking about her friends and teachers and singing songs she learned. I also really appreciate that they expose the kids to a variety of foods in the meals they provide and not just “kid” food. Thank you, Bright Haven, for making my girl feel safe and loved in your facility!

Love the teachers and management here! Everyone is always so kind and professional every time I walk in. Our daughter is always greeted by passing staff during drop off in the morning and her teacher always greets her with a smile. I love that drop-offs are never a struggle, because she is excited to go everyday! I would 100% recommend this school to any new or current parent that is looking for an amazing learning environment to prepare your child for the future.

Horrible professionalism from the owner. A lack of communication on expectations on requirements for being accepted. It’s not the same for every child. We were originally told that we had to do 1 hour orientation and then schedule a 30 minute call to discuss the kiddos behavior and our family. We took time out of work (2 separate days) and were told that we would get a “yes” or a “no” only for them to come back and be told we had to do a 30 minute trial where we have to be there while it happens to decide if our kid is good enough to be enrolled. I told them that if the 30 minute trial was required then we would not be doing it and was blunt that they wasted our time. We would have never even started if that was told to us. I thought it was over but the owner CC’d herself in an email response and attacked me while accusing me of doing it to her staff. While I do admit the email cam across as harsh to the person I was speaking to originally, I was not in my initial response to the owner and apologized for the perceived harshness. I explained why I thought the trial was not healthy to a foster kid and gave recommendations for them while letting them know I found another place anyway. I was direct but not harsh.The owner responded and proceeded to attack me, my profession, and accused me of being unregulated (didn’t know you could tell that behind a keyboard), playing a victim, being a bully, and claimed need mental health help. Personally, counseling is good for everyone so that wasn’t really an insult like she hoped it would be. Her reasoning was that she was “standing her ground” There are PLENTY of other good quality places in this area with people who are more professional, more understanding to kids needs, with less requirements to get in, and with less hateful people running them. If you are a passive person you should be fine. If you don’t let the other people walk all over you and are blunt- it won’t go well. Just go somewhere else. If your kid has ANY behavior concerns. Don’t bother. If you read the other negative reviews you will see how the owner attacks any constructive criticism. I’m fully expecting yet another hateful response like the others.

I am so grateful for Bright Haven! As a single foster and adoptive parent, I have had my children at BH for over five years, and have been so very thankful for all of the teachers and staff who have loved them well and taught them so many things. It's been amazing to be able to leave my kids in the morning knowing that they will not only have their physical needs cared for, but their hearts and minds as well.

Our family has formed incredible relationships with other parents, and the teachers and staff at the school and I cannot imagine my parenting journey without my Bright Haven family. I have learned and grown as a parent as I watch them interact with my kids!

Also of note - if you are someone looking for a great placce to work with children and to be mentored and encouraged in your teaching journey, this is a great spot for you to land. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I have had children attending Bright Haven for several years now and can honestly say it is the best school for my kids! They create a safe and loving environment with a focus on the whole child. Everyone from the Infant room to the Preschool class is invested in my child's success and growth. They take the time and energy to train all of their staff in the appropriate way and go above and beyond training them in Conscious Discipline and Child Abuse Prevention. I have never doubted that my children, both biological and those in foster care, were loved and getting the absolute best care when at Bright Haven. I'm thankful that Bright Haven is a part of our village!

I also love that they use the Tadpoles app to send us pictures and updates throughout the day. It helps so much with wondering how they are doing and reinforces that the teachers are actively involved in their care and learning.

Bright Haven has been the best blessing to our family! After being in 3 other daycares and having that experience, Bright Haven absolutely exceeds our expectations & is not comparable to other daycares- it has been so much better than any daycare we have gone to. Our 1.5 year old is thriving, making friends, growing, and learning like he has never before. We love Bright Haven, their administrative staff, and their teachers.

We love this school! Our daughter has attended BH for over 4 years (she began at 8 weeks old). We have loved each of her teachers. The staff is great at addressing any questions or concerns. Their passion for helping their students and all of the families at the school is evident in their communication and involvement. I love that they are committed to safety and have video cameras in all of the rooms so that I can see my child throughout the day. I also appreciate the daily reports with pictures and any needed information about what went on during that day. I am so glad that we chose Bright Haven for our daughter!

This school has been the best experience for our daughter in the short time we've been there. Other care centers we tried, it felt like the owner(s) were in it for the money but Brighthaven it really feels like the owner (I think it's just the one) is investing into the daycare/school. From offering free classes on their approach to child care (Conscious Discipline), to the way every employee there seems happy to be there, to how happy the kids seem every time we pickup our daughter. Just look at all the other reviews. There's only one bad review and personally I find the whole thing ridiculous and restrictive. We're extremely happy to be a part of this family and super excited to see our daughter learn and grow while attending here. I only wish they offered a private school for K-12 ?.
