Books Save Lives was a life changing training for me. It was on Saturdays for 4 weeks with a great trainer, Daphne Russell. It was a really emotional training to me that taught me how to reach students in a way to heal there emotional traumas and increase there success in school through literacy. Once you get a student to love reading, you are giving him the tools of literacy which can help you learn anything. Daphne teaches you techniques on how to get students into reading and gives real life examples. I recommend taking these training if you want to make a differences on kids lives.

What an awesome couple of months it's been. I'm a little late to post this review but better late than never. I have been working in an awesome new job and I was given a wonderful and awesome opportunity to attend a fantastic literacy coach training with Daphne Russell!

The training for Books Save Lives had such a huge impact on me and as a result I became a better reader, motivated to help others discover the beauty of reading. Thank you, Daphne, for everything you taught us and it was absolutely awesome seeing your training work first hand! This group strives to teach children and those who teach children that reading is Fun, Engaging, Important, & Life-Changing. There's a difference between learning to read vs learning to Love Reading. Books Saves Lives is all about the latter, and they do it with heart & excellence.

Books Save Lives presented reading in a whole new perspective in the training Miss Daphne Russell conducted to us teachers. She presented a strategy to us that we can use to help our students read. This program was truly a game changer. Daphne Russell has a passion for reading and it shows! The beauty of this program is that it gives educators the tools they need to reach those students who never got excited about books or reading up to this point. After empowering them using Daphne's unique methods, they view reading in a whole new way. It truly is a window into a whole new world for the students. The program was so awesome that I really was sad when the 4 sessions ended. I could have easily gone for another 4 weeks!!!
