The Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy is a truly exceptional program. It was challenging in all the best ways, pushing me to grow both personally and professionally. The instructors are knowledgeable, highly skilled, and deeply committed to their students’ success. The program itself is well-organized and it is clear to me that a great deal of intention goes into every aspect of the school. I appreciated the significant number of hours spent learning tons of hands-on bodywork techniques. The school also goes above and beyond in education of the table to prepare students with classes in ethics, psychology of touch, communication skills, and so much more! The business development course has also been incredibly helpful as I start my own practice right out of school—I truly don’t think I would be able to do it this soon without all the preparation that class provided.

I would absolutely recommend Berkana to anyone seriously looking to pursue a career in massage therapy. It provides the perfect balance of rigorous training and supportive guidance, setting students up for success in the field.

The Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy has tremendously changed my life for the better. I am so grateful that I chose this specific school back when I was deciding where to go. I feel that I received the best education possible, and I have started my own successful business not long after I left Berkana all because I was taught how. I would also like to mention that even though I graduated from here years ago, I still think about my experience often.. and it holds a very special place in my heart. When I sought out an education in massage therapy, I wanted a science-based holistic approach and that's exactly what the Berkana Institute provided. From the rigors of anatomy/physiology/pathology to all of the modalities we were trained in and/or exposed to, we really did cover just about everything I could imagine. Beyond the education itself, just being at the Institute around such amazing peers and faculty really made me a more empathetic and compassionate person. If you're thinking about doing a training in massage therapy, there really is no better option.

I studied the Berkana Merhod of massage under Jill Berkana over a decade ago and am certain it was the best school I could have chosen. Upon graduating I easily excelled in the industry with my unique, client-centered tools and techniques. I also learned many inspirational methods of self-care and positive ways to look at the world and other people, that I still utilize today.
I like to call it a science and method based art school. I highly recommend attending.

I went to The Berkana Institute in 2015...WOW how time flies. I am so glad I chose this school. I live in TN now, and when I tell industry leaders where I went to school they are always impressed. It's crazy to me that people all the way in the SE KNOW about my school! There is a national recognition of the quality of teaching and expertise found in this school. I highly recommend going to Berkana. I chose the school because I wanted an accelerated program; I didn't want to spend 2 years studying to get my certification. I graduated in six months, and opened my practice two months later. I have never looked back! I am successful, independent, confident, and get asked to mentor on a regular basis because of how well I am doing as an independent therapist. The Berkana Institute, the instruction I got there, the mentors I have from my time there and the encouragement I got to open my own business are DIRECTLY responsible for that success. If you want to have a CAREER in this industry and not just be cog in a machine...Berkana is the right choice. 10/10 would choose again. LOL. But for real...DO IT> You won't regret it.

Cannot recommend enough.
